I now know what this guy was talking about at 6:45+ in his review. Mine seems to have the same problem with the hinges of the hips articulating in different directions. As he says in the review it looks like it should be rotatable to line them up the same on both sides but he says that he tried heating it up to correct it but it didn't work.

My only other nitpicks:

- the blue wash on the tail is a little more prominent than on the main body on mine and I've got some other paint oddities, not entirely unexpected on a NECA figure
- the inner mouths plug in such that they are too hidden behind her top-front teeth, would be nicer if they could be more centred in the overall mouth (the chap in the review mentions this aswell)
-I'm just naturally scared of breaking something. Some of the joints are tough to move.

Overall though, incredible.

Yeah she is incredible! I am scared of breaking stuff too,
Some people say in the box they changed the bottom legs and they need to be put in correct position. Not sure what they mean.

********* look at that wonky jaw. I'll be pissed if mine is anything like that.

My Xeno Warrior had wonky mouth too! Annoyed the hell out of me.

what is the precise order of the dorsal spine of the queen? I see different positions, there isn't a instruction manual? From the head: long to short or short to long?

The difference between the NECA Queen and the McFarlane Queen is quite hilarious. Assuming NECA's is correct in its size, its proportions, posture, shapes and details I can suddenly see how much that McFarlane sculpt must have pissed Kyle Windrix off. Same subject matter and yet the sculpts could hardly be any more different from eachother, with NECA obviously leagues ahead.

I think its the feet. On some samples the main part of the foot is upside down - mine was too. It can all be rotated without taking anything off.

As for wonky jaws - it seems to me that they all have this issue to some extent or another. Don't think I've ever had a NECA alien that wasn't like this but that dog alien in the video was awful.

Long to short I believe. And I think the frilly parts near the base of the spines go on the inside.

^ I think it will still be a little while before we see them appear in stores here. I've only just recently spotted the latest series of Predators in local stores, and they have been out in the US for a while now. I have mine ordered from one of the Aussie online retailers, and they still don't have stock yet.

I see you are from Brisbane as well, where is the best physical store that you go to for NECA stuff? Most of the places that stock figures usually have a pretty average stock of NECA figures.

I just normally go to toyworld in Queen St Mall. That's the only place I know in Brisbane that stocks NECA. A more limited range and one offs also appear in DVD King on level 3 of the Myer Centre and sometimes Comics etc. In Elizabeth St.

Toyworld seems to really mark up their figures though lately. The new NECA 8" Ghostface from Scream with the cloth outfit is $54 which is just disgusting IMO. You're probably best just shopping online at popcultcha.com.au

Yup. Those are the places I shop. Also, Game Traders in the Chermside Westfield gets a decent selection of NECA stuff, although those Funko Pop! things are starting to take over that shop to the point that eventually they'll just have to change their name to "Pop! Store."

Found the Queen at my local Things From Another World. Good lord, she's huge. Much bigger than my old McFarlane Queen and a refreshingly nice paintjob to boot. But... $119.99. I'd prefer buying NECA merch in-store, but I may have to go online for her. Not sure I'm willing to drop the extra $25 to get her in person.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for standing/displaying your figures? I have recently snapped up the series two original '79 Xenomorph and '86 Warrior and for the life of me I can't get them stand properly. It seems with the new series and greater articulation has come more loser/feeble joints? Everything is too top heavy. I kind of like the idea that the Queen and Dog are coming with a stand - the other two could've used them too IMO
