NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

Incidentally, I was at a local gaming shop today & noticed that they had a whole bunch of ALIENS Bishops on clearance.

Must've been a hit.

Must have been because of the eye. I had to go through about eight Bishops before I picked one that was only Ok. The other seven looked like crap (eye). IMO the paint apps tuned that figure

Ordered 2 for now. It was probably a wise business move to have an equal number of open and closed eggs in there, that way if people want a certain amount of either one they have to multi-order. Bastards.

I'd actually like to have more than 6 closed eggs but I don't want to push it with the shipping costs and possible customs fees.

Got my set of series 4 a couple days ago from a local shop. Very impressed with them as a whole. The quality feels significantly better than series 1 and 2. Plastic seems improved and the paint applications are very good.

That said my compression suit Ripley has two left lower legs, which I didn't notice until the night after I got them. It doesn't bother me too much though since at least it's hardly noticeable and doesn't hurt the function of the figure at all. I guess I'm just "lucky" when it comes to accidentally finding errors.

Anyways, these figures are still amazing and worth every penny -

The egg set is pretty awesome. Saw it on BBTS. The packaging is sweet, makes me want to collect this line. The Ripleys, Power loader, and the big Queen all look cool.

Got this new set today at TRU....they do look good. Really dig the Dallas one a lot... but all three are good.

I think it's because no one out my way gives a crap about a 6" Lance Henriksson dolly.

Also.. I gotta say. NECA make some insanely good toys - they do, & some of the likenesses shame the high end companies.

..but these Ripleys? They're all pretty average - & she's the poster child for the whole thing.

Yeah they’ve replied to a few asking about her. Sounds like its one they’re hoping to get done in 16. Outside of Lambert the Aliens anniversary sounds like their main focus for next year.

We'd better get a single-packed Crowe, and no monkey business like battle damage, scene-specific facial expressions or missing helmets this time....

Anyway... Here's my improved Windrix figure (added helmet... obviously, and chopped and accessorised the armour to fit Windrix's slightly lower shoulders better and otherwise differentiate it from a certain other Marine's), plus what I'm going to call "Hive Ambush Hudson" and a Hicks that we really should have gotten as a single-pack:
