From the horse's mouth. For those interested, it looks like we will be waiting for wave 10 to see some Kenner Aliens. I really hope we get to see the snake alien and the wild boar alien.

Hell, I'd love a take on the original three Aliens. That and the Flying Alien Queen would be awesome. (I actually think they could do some pretty cool stuff with Bishop's alternate design as well.)

Correct me if I'm wrong but Kenner never made a Dog Alien right? They obviously took inspiration from the concept that a dog got facehuggered and a ''dog-like'' Alien was produced and yet they made everything but that.

I don't think they have specifically said "no" yet, They are just thinking that it might be too big and expensive so they are still looking into better ways of doing it.

I remember the Twitter talk but I think you would have to mod the legs on the queen to get that scene. I'm sure that's a good reason for because to pass. I'm pretty sure the legs won't turn in as she was hanging

They made versions based on a cobra, cougar, praying mantis, gorilla, scorpion, boar, rhino, etc. I think a dog would be considered "boring" after all that.

Aside from the head, the shape of Cougar Alien is actually pretty close to the Dog Alien from the movie.

Sweet! Though I have a feeling that the sales of the 1/4 Alien will ultimately determine if this happens or not. Let's hope the numbers pan out because a 1/4 ox/dog would be a wonderful thing to add to an alien collection.

What inaccuracies-problems from the previous version were corrected?

For instance with Predator 2.0 they removed that ugly helmet seam.

Well, this is from the new sculpt with better articulation that was released a while ago in the smaller scale (the one with the snarling lips).
So the dome is a new sculpt, as are the hands, pelvis, legs and feet, IIRC. And this one has the new closed lips. I don't know if NECA/Kyle changed anything else on the original moulds, but it could be, as he likes to keep tinkering on the sculpt.
If this is the final production piece, the hip articulation looks improved. I really like the paint apps, although they could've been a bit darker IMHO.

Looks better for sure with the translucent white lips, although the mouth needs to be permanently shut on this one to look good.

Here's a repaint of the Dallas headsculpt I did yesterday....stripped all the existing paint off, primed it, then repainted.
I have the suit taken apart and I'll be gluing joints in place for a diorama and doing a repaint.
I have two more Dallas figures coming to make Kane and Lambert. I know NECA has just said they are hoping to make a Lambert figure, but that could be a while away yet. I need to find some clear flat matte varnish.

The old paint really hides some of the great sculpt NECA did with this Dallas figure, although it is a great figure out of the box anyway. This repaint was a git to do, I'm used to painting 1:6 scale.
