Just because they have Biehn's likeness right for TERMINATOR DOES NOT mean that they have the likeness rights for ALIENS.

Maybe Biehn did not give approval for the TERMINATOR likeness...that's why it doesn't really look like him.

They becomes this rights for Terminator, they buy this rights for Aliens.

If a company spent money to a Sculpt, they want as many money as possible to make it(yes ists horrible Englisch-damn Google).

Why Dutch not happen ?
Its a Swarzenegger Sculpt.
Neca buy his Likeness licence like conan, Terminator and Terminator 2.

Its not a problem like Peter Weller, they didnt buy his Likeness licence.

Hicks is a for sure thing. NECA stated on twitter they have Biehn's likeness, but the reason why he has not shown up at SDCC is that they are still retooling him and most likely this is all a marketing campaign, they need to save the most popular marine for toy fair or they won't have anything to show off since the big surprise of dutch, hudson and so forth has happened. i've talked with neca and other alien fans and the approval by the license is just if they can show it off or officially give a release date. There is no re-sculpting going on here. but NECA's hicks is going to be killer and have the full likeness of michael biehn. Fox is really capitilizing on Prometheus and the resurgance of alien franchise hence why they are selling of their license and actor's likeness (the only actor from ALiens who owns their own likeness is Sigourney Weaver. all other actors had to be individually bought from ALiens not part of a package)

Yes, they bought the likeness rights...which only means that they get to ATTEMPT an accurate sculpt.

It still must be approved by Arnold and Fox.

exactly Sabres, Arnold's likeness is acquired directly from him and the release has to be approved by Fox, but I mean when has there even been a case when a figure has been announced and NECA has had to cancel it. I think never. The license that fell through I believe was ROcky horror picture show. We will get Dutch, Hicks and after the top sales more marines. Dutch and Hicks are stated to be the gems of Randy and NECA, they will not let it be passed up

Yes, NECA buys the license for TERMINATOR and ALIENS.

But the actor's license is a whole other matter and is a seperate purchase. Once they aquire the actor's license in that specific movie and sculpt it, it still must be approved by the actor and the studio.

And you can't say whether Biehn will say yes or no to the likeness or not. You have no idea if he needs or wants the money or not.

He's obviously said yes to them sculpting it, but he can still not approve it once it's done.

I understand there are two different licenses
Aliens Licen and Aliens xy Actor Likeness Licen.

But I read all the time of Likeness rights.

Neca buy The likeness rights for Terminator and they buy the likeness rights for Aliens.

Everything else does not make sense.

Aliens Marines without Hicks ?
Or Hicks without Michael Biehn Likeness, but Reese from terminator has the likeness .
