The problem I'm seeing with these AvP Warriors is that some of the back spines are all bent out of alignment while still in the package. At least all of the ones I've see in the Hastings stores around me. Any fix for that? I feel like the rubber material will just form back to it's 'defective' position even if I were to heat them up.

I don't have one, but in my experience, I've done the following with pretty successful results:

-Heat them up for a while (either blow dryer or hot water) so they are nice and soft
-Make them straight
-While they are straight (you might need tape or something to keep them that way), put them in ice water for a minute or so. The ice cold water, or even freezer for 20 minutes is the key.

Good to go (most of the time)

One of my AVP warriors had the same problem, I moved the legs and the joints almost immediately became loose. The head popped off too but easily went back on.

Pledge Future Shine (now renamed Pledge Floorcare Finish) works wonders on joints. One bottle will be enough to tighten the joints on every figure you will ever own.

This is key to loose joints. Apply a drop or two, move the joint around, and let sit for 24 hours. Repeat if necessary.

Amazon.com: Pledge Floor Care, Multi-Surface Finish, 27-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6): Health & Personal Care

That's the stuff. It runs about $8 for a single bottle.

Hey, sorry, but does the wave 8 Alien 3 stuff have a release date? I usually only collect 1/6 scale, but hey, this is the first time that anyone made other figures than the alien from A3... so thinking this will be my first NECA figures.

It's supposed to be out in June according to BBTS

...I thought I read somewhere that the gray one was the alien covered in led from the end of the movie? ...is this right?

I think the A3 wave is scheduled for June and the gray Dog alien in that wave is not the lead version, the lead version may come out according to Neca but the gray is a variation on how the dog alien looked like during parts of filming.

It's been a little slow in this thread lately so I thought I'd share a few pics of my custom dioramas made by this boards very own "The Reverend". The work is incredible, he's great to work with and I would highly recommend reaching out to him for any Neca dio needs - lol. The 1st pic is the hive and the 2nd is a wip of the entrance to Hadley's Hope that will look incredible once the floor is finished. His painting is so layered that in my display with a blue lighting it looks almost in 3D.

Have a few from him in my collection as well - have not seen the North Lock one of his though, very nice :)

Just got my 1/4 Xeno.
Its beautiful however one issue, anyone else have a loose hip? Its leaning towards right so not straight or upright.
You can move to up and it stays for a min or two then goes back to the right hand side. This makes it impossible to stand on its own as its upper body weight is to one side so it topples over.

A lot of people have mentioned this problem, I think. The best solution is to get a 1/4 figure stand off ebay or amazon, that way you can pose it however you want without it toppling over

Well, my replacement open mouthed 1/4 scale Alien turned up from the seller on e-bay, and he sent me the closed mouth version again! The seller now says he can't idenitfy the open mouth version, even though he still has them listed for sale, and has offered me a refund as my only option. I give up.

Thanks will take a look.
So you guys dont think there is a point in returning it and getting replacement as there is a good chance next one will be same?

With this figure being so heavy there's probably a good chance the replacement will have the same problem eventually. The Kaiser stand is perfect for the Alien and would give you option for display as well as piece of mind knowing the big chap won't go shelf diving one day. The legs should stay in place with the stand but its just what you feel like is best:).

In the Uk that stand is very expensive to import.
Will need to find a another 22" metal stand on the bay.
