Trying to find original source, but buzz regarding "Alien Day" (4-26) is that an official press release has outlined many of the Aliens related items and events. One of the lines is NECA announcing wave of new figures featuring Vasquez, Newt, and Kenner style Ripley.

Not really feeling the Kenner Ripley, but we knew it was coming.

Wonder what Newt might come with accessory wise. I have a bad feeling it will be an open egg and hugger...again...

That's awesome news, it will be great to add Vasquez and Newt to the collection. I wonder if these 2 will be in the next Aliens wave and if so since Neca has said we are getting another Marine will he/she be in that same wave? So may questions but it is really cool to know these 2 are coming. I'm not interested in the Kenner Ripley but that may change when I see her. Do you think Neca will go the exclusive route with Newt and keep the numbers low since retailers may be to worried about her selling? Maybe they'll release Newt in an Alien 2 pack?

Oh and I thought Vaz was a Private, not a Lieutenant - lol.

Please let that not be a joke! We're getting Newt???! ****ing awesome! Obviously it's fantastic if we get Vasquez but she was kinda 'expected' even though they were denying having her likeness permission. However I didn't think they'd deem it worthwhile from a business standpoint to make Newt. That's amazing if true! And it makes me wonder about a certain other child action figure I've been wanting....

Let's hope that this doesn't invalidate the chatter about two Marines being released this year. I really wanted Drake and/or one of the other helmeted Marines...

Now that I think about it, it makes sense for Drake to be the 2nd Marine since they already have the smart gun, chest armor and headset for Vaz ready or at least in development by now.

Wow, never thought we'd get a Newt let alone Casey's head - lol. I hope they pack in a loose Marine Helmet, we could put that to use on either S1 Hudson or Hicks. - can't remember which one of their helmets she put on.
