I thoroughly enjoyed Alien 3 but outside of having the alien emerge from an animal (vs human), it didn't do a lot to further the mythology of the series.

A really good figure overall and the choice of accessories is pretty neat too.

Though I am confused about some of the talkback on twitter with her release. Is she indeed going to be the SDCC figure this year ?

That's a good sculpt/likeness and a nice looking figure. The helmet is a nice touch, didn't even think about that. Hopefully that's not an alternate head with the helmet glued on and is just a seperate piece. I hated that BS they did with Hicks and Hudson. Never bought those ridiculous looking two pack figures with those ugly screaming faces.

This gives me high hopes for John Connor. They could potentially nail the Edward Furlong likeness and proportions right out of the gate. I could see the little hacking computer and Cyberdyne vault pieces like the chip and endo arm too after seeing Rebecca'a reward plaque and such.

A lot of praise for the lifelike eyes. Sure on the prototype, we're not gonna get that though. I don't see the point in praising prototype paintjobs.

Those were great sculpts though. 'Ugly'? Whah? I wouldn't trade those heads for neutral ones. I'd like neutral ones aswell but neutral expressions don't look great in action scenes.

You've probably hit the nail on the head. The damn helmet is an SDCC exclusive. That's still kind of annoying though.

For me they were imperative so I'm biased. But y'know, helmeted marines and battle-damaged Aliens, surely cool in any display. The Hudson sculpt is nailed, perfectly matches his shooting frenzy before he dies. Hicks looks like Hicks, just the paint coulda been better but with NECA when could it not.....

I'm only guessing here with the ' mostly ' reference NECA used in answering the SDCC question, so I am thinking that they would release a regular version of Newt for mass retail but for the big fans of the movie itself they would include a fan favourite accessory, which in this case would most likely be the marine helmet and use that as the SDCC variation.

I'm not sure how hard its been to track down their exclusives before, but am guessing that if you can pre order her IF it does indeed become an exclusive variant DO it as soon as it pops up so you don't miss out.
