Rewatched all blompkamp movies recently.
I think that visually this project has all he chances to be a wet dream with artists like Aaron Beck, Christian Pierce at the designs.
But he really need to stay away from the script. Hope he gave his ideas to a proper writer to flesh them out.
And i hope this writer is not his girlfriend.
Yes!!!!!!! I'll buy a couple newts to put in the collection and get a few extra helmets at the same time - win/win since I won't display her with the helmet on. Thanks Neca, that was a sweet move putting the helmet in.

I agree that visually his style would be interesting for an Alien film but his writing is very hit or miss.
I guess Alien 5 will be made based on whether or not Ridley deems is okay to follow up with his Prometheus sequels.

D9 is one of my favorite movies. The girlfriend was co writer on that one, generally I think you are right and he needs some more help on the scripts. But Weaver said that his Alien5 script was amazing... Guess we'll see.

I guess this means that they will be ignoring Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection as canon. Which is fine with me...

As much as i wish Hicks and Newt did not Die, alien 3 is a masterpiece to me.
Alien 4 is a huge pile of manure.

I agree for as flawed as it is in some areas Alien 3 is a good closing chapter in the Ellen Ripley story. For me at least her story ends there.
Resurrection though.......I have mixed thoughts now. Watching it on and off over the years I love the idea of Ripley 8 and the cloning but loathe the film she is trapped in. If the subject was handled with a better director and more of a serious tone I think Resurrection could of done what it set out to do in the beginning and bring the franchise back to prominence.
Saying that though I would love it if Neca do Ripley 8, Call or a Newborn.

I think they are letting Carrie have her fun with her figure first before bringing out the big guns as it were. We know we are getting a Vaz reveal but with the amount of hype they are putting out there you know they must have something big in store.

Yeah the concepts at work in A4 are cool but the script and excution sucks.
Each movies kinda push the universe, here once the exposition is done there is nothing and the action is boring.
