Ordered 2 for now. May reduce if they turn out bad.

Same for me. I've already got both versions of each character, but if these new releases end up being a step up in quality (which I hope would be the case regardless of whether they get the injected flesh tone treatment) then I'll need at least one replacement set.

Also, anybody catch the new(?) facehuggers that were teased(?) in the last promo image on this page?

At this point the only good facehugger is a dead facehugger. Seriously, I want the ones that are rotting in the tubes in the movie or the skeletal ones that Hicks is looking at when they're in sub level 03.

Whatever those are in that image do not excite me. Strange looking tubes aswell, they look very ''improvised''...

...where is the missed opportunity? These are for the people who never got the originals and we're bugging them about a re-release. This is not a "yawn-worthy" release, it's a smart "let's listen to the fans and make some money on the process since we don't have to make any new tooling" decision :p

I hear ya. I don't begrudge them a chance at easy money, and good for those who missed out, but as a guy who already dumped money into multiples of both those guys in all their variants, hearing that 100% unchanged re-releases are coming fits my personal definition of yawn-worthy.

It would not have been hard to at least spice up Hicks. For example, we know the Ops battle hicks hair is already sculpted on the screaming face. Slap the headset on it, and give the calm face the helmet. BOOM. Instant new variant excitement with minimal effort AND hooking up those who missed out. Everyone wins.

I'll admit Hudson is harder to freshen up without a new 3rd head, so maybe that is asking too much, but the prospect of the flesh tone plastic can help this situation quite a bit. Guess we will see soon enough.

Amen.

True, that would have been cool. Really want an Ops battle Hicks. Although at least now I'll put together my own 'calm-face' Hicks with helmet on. In fact, I may indeed keep my 2 orders for this purpose.

I'm in for the two pack. I have the battle pack hicks but I need a standard version and I need Hudson.

does Hicks come with a flashlight? Since I missed them first time I'm of course in for this!

Just when you thought you'd seen every repaint:

Guess I am Mr. Negative today...

A fun idea, but I'm a bit disappointed in the paint. Usually I am very impressed with their video game translations. This one looks a bit lazy. The two-tone paint job doesn't really capture the pixilated creature (which clearly has four shades of pink and purple). The egg, hugger and burster look very video game-like, though.

I'm in for the two-pack if they use the flesh tone plastic this time. I have the original series 1 Hicks and Hudson, and besides not having helmets my biggest gripe was the flesh paint on their arms scraping off.

Yep. Really hoping for injected flesh tones.

I don't think they realised quite how many people want this when they made Frost though......

Pass on the videogame Alien. Probably the silliest looking one yet.

I want that facehugger to go with the Mantis Alien. :)

I opened my Vasquez and Frost today. Great figures, Vasquez is the best Alien/Aliens figure they've done.

It was a pain getting the lamp on Vasquez'/ back and it I'm not sure if the black attachment on the smart gun is supposed to just sit/rest in that silver latch thing on her belt, but yeah, she'/ a great figure. I'd buy variations of her.

Frost is just okay. The paint work on him is amazing, but I hate his hands. He can't hold the Flamethrower right and the range of the hand pegs really suck. He looks cool though.
