Yeah. He's not squat and bulky like the original. The forearm spikes also look really bad.

Too bad. It was one of my favorite Kenner aliens.

It looks fine to me, it's the same sculpt as the figure we saw in the promo images and at toyfair. The first pic is almost identical to one of the promo pics from neca, but the legs don't look as short because of perspective, and the second pic has the legs fully extended. I think with a hunched over and squatting or almost on all fours pose it will look fine in person.

I suppose they could have sculpted shorter shins and made additional overlay parts like the mantis xeno to bulk up the torso. I'll still get one, it looks nice, and I like the swap-out domes and additional facehugger. I was happy with how it looked at toyfair and it looks the same to me, just this is a super-close up pic under bright light and not posed exactly the same.
