Its an interesting exclusive for sure, and knowing the history behind it makes it more viable as being something you would want but was limited at the time. Its a good start for the club, but am more interested in the item Randy said was a passion project of his and if they are going to do a figure that you can only get through the club.

If I was going to suggest anything it would be for them to do an exclusive weapons pack or alien wrangling pack - you know, with a cage and stun rods and maybe an elite WY commando.

Neca suddenly releases a alien club that includes bonus extras, access to sdcc exclusives. Just after the first Kenner wave. FACT

That club means you have to buy every 7" figure in the Aliens line. FACT

Which means you now have to buy all the Kenner figures, if you want these perks. FACT

And for Neca's aliens line to steadily continue at this point, the Kenner figures needs to be successful and sell well. FACT

Coincidence? I think not...

This is purely to try and entice more people to eat up the Kenner figures. I know there's Kenner fans and this will be great for them, but a bit of a kick to the face for everyone else.

I'm not worried about the Kenner stuff taking over just yet. There's still been some encouraging word coming out of twitter, at least for the Aliens line.

I paid out for an SDCC Newt, even after knowing the 2 pack version was coming. So basically just for the accessories, mostly the Casey doll head (which I thought was an excellent addition). And then lo and behold, they included it in the 2 pack anyway. That was bit of a kick in the teeth.

Hopefully I'll saved the SDCC problem now at least. Although, someone asked earlier, and he couldn't confirm it.

Would you like to see the Head Knocker line "completed"? As in a Warrior, a Dog, a Resurrection knocker? They are apparently doing another for the "New creature" in Covenant.

Have you ever wanted some kind of model of the Atmosphere processor? Would obviously be Cinemachine scale. Could be light up, could/should include a tiny apc driving in, or a dropship, to give it scale. (I really liked how they included the mini APC with the Dropship.)

I say, let them do the Kenner stuff. I'm ok with waiting. I had hiyatoys apc+kidslogic dropship this year.

Still waiting for Drake and the rest of the gang ie I'm only in for human characters. Getting weapons pack tho. I'm so happy that Randy got us a helmet and a knife. Listening to the fans and all.

What I do not understand, is the apprehension about making other figures ( human ) from the Aliens line. As stated before a Drake would a unique set of dies, but so is Vasquez. Their main $ makers are Aliens / Terminator / Predator, at the same time figures are made from lousy movies that have little collect-ability ( IMHO atleast) , that sit on shelves and can be bought for very little ( I have bought dozens just for fodder parts ).

This Alien club thing is exactly what you described as a "kick to the face" it's basically aimed at selling those Kenner figures, whilst offering a load of perks that every neca alien fan would want. This forces people who want those perks to buy all the Kenner figures and I aggree that's wrong.

The exclusives and bonuses they offer won't just be Kenner, what happens if they make Burke the exclusive figure at the end of the year?

To fully complete your neca aliens movie collection, your simply forced to buy the Kenner figures and join the club.

They should of just made a Seperate Kenner club - because it is niche and I imagine alot / most neca aliens fans probably ain't buying them. But that would defeat the purpose of trying to get more people than just the Kenner fans to buy them.
