Yeah, true. They do still seem readily available. Mean to buy some more when I can. Can't have enough. ;)

Perfect compliment to Ripley.. I'd almost say Powerloader with guns. But that'd be too expensive.

Something to shoot at? A smaller queen, a la Kenner.

Revealing a Drake would be cool, with a movie styled one to follow later in the year. But that doesn't seem like a perfect compliment piece.

Hicks does seem the most likely marine, but again, not what I would call a perfect compliment.

:S

Something under the radar, not in the plans, I don't know!

Ooooh, what's this?

As much as lot of us ***** about the Kenner aliens there is no denying how much detail and work are going into the sculpts. The details in the jaw line is amazing. I am guessing this is gonna be the crab or the panther.

What do you think?
Would that be the way to do an life size alien?

alien skull replica 300 $
skeleton 100 $

hillbilly alien skull?

Lol. They really should of sorted that out. The small small one doesn't have that overbite. Never really liked the look of it anyway.

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had...

It came to me when I was looking at this image, trying to decide what it is I didn't really like about it so much:

alien-internecivus-raptus-statue-200464-01.jpg

And I realised it's in the "eyes".

I've always prefered images where you don't see the skull underneath, I think it takes away from alien-ness of it. You can't tell what it's thinking, for sure where it's looking.

But more than that I realised when looking at the image the empty eye sockets draw your eye, naturally, as all living things with eyes/faces do. It's a natural instinct.

And that's why the lack of eyes, when all you can see is the dome, is so cool. Because it forces you to focus your attention elsewhere, somewhere more terrifying:

It's all about the teeth!

See how you can't help but focus on the eyes. When they're there.
Also. :p

:goodpost: :exactly: I've always preferred the xenomorph without the eyes and/or eye sockets visible. I seem to remember reading somewhere that H.R. Giger said that he preferred that the Alien not have visible eyes, as it was more terrifying when you didn't know that the creature was looking at you - he was right.

Yes youre right, i wished the dome wouldnt be so transparent.

Bandai Figure as they show it...

Yeah, it was disappointing. I have one, and it's very well made, but that transparency, and it's short stature let it down.

Update on the FaceHuggerFriday tease:

As you can see, Joe Moore reports one guess is the Alien Arachnoid from Capcom’s Alien vs Predator Arcade Game.

You can bake it, so is it air drying clay

It is it is air drying clay. To bad i have to wait till paycheck to get some colors at 05.01.2017
I worked on the tubes on the back again, made them a little less sausage looking. :)

I think i make an heavy brown washed black alien of it. like this from resurrection

You have to try magic sculpt epoxy . Air drying clay was my first stuff I did and was very hard to work with. I won't look back after using magic sculpt or fix it I think it's called is good too

Apoxie sculpt is another good option ( it doesnt stick to tools as bad / but is more difficult to stick to sculpt in thin layers or small amounts ) I recently just read where it can be UV light cured to speed up when needed.

Neca accidently showed this yesterday on their Alien Club page -
They did remove it from the store and this is actually the second time I'm posting this - I deleted my first as I thought to leave it to Neca to reveal properly on Alien Day... but hell other people have seen it and are talking about it and if anyone should get a preview it's us lot spending time on this forum dedicated to the Neca line.

So here you go;
