I may be interpreting comments on here incorrectly but.................. With this movie being a prequel ( an origin story), wouldn't the evolution of the speceis apply. With the "alien" in this movie being more primordial that in Alien / Aliens.

IMHO, I am wanting an origin story that has continuity and ends with explanation of "MOTHER" receiving "ORDER 937" and the NOSTRO being redirected to LV426.

What do you mean? The tubes clearly bend. They didn't in the scene shown online but they definitely did in the theatre.

Unless there are two versions of the theatrical release, they did not bend.
I was eagle eyeing that scene in the hopes that it would've been corrected.

Additionally, it irritated me that the overall technology (in this prequel) was way more advanced than in all other alien movies. For example, no motion trackers needed....they can simply track everything via the ship's sensors. Holograms everywhere, self healing androids, advanced sleep chambers, etc.

Just watched the movie and enjoyed it quite a bit. They did a good job making Alien scary again.

Opinions of course, but I didn't found it one bit scary. Non of the original Alien feelings where there. I find Alien more scary after watching it for the 17th time than Covenant. Sad.

It happens fast but they definitely go through the floor.

I enjoyed the movie and will pick up the figures but I’m not sure the Neo figure will be able stand as I would like (if you’ve seen the film you’ll know what I’m talking about.) and will grab multiple egg packs.

The studio has to make the film more 'visually' interesting in comparison to other films recently released.Besides, these are all just movies anyway.Accuracy to reality and timelines are not what movies are 'really' about.

Not just you. Sadly I have come to realize Randy may be right. Someone did an informal poll on an alien fan facebook group recently that started with something along the lines of "Am I the only one that collects toys of just the creatures? The humans don't interest me" (paraphrasing loosely).
I was surprised to see the agreement at about a rate of 10:1 from the riff-raff chiming in.

On this forum, I think we have more dedicated collectors that are quite vocal about it, but the silent majority of "Johnny and Jill Alien fans" truly may not care for humans. Sad really.

Humans characters are boring, you see and deal with humans everyday.I don't know why so many human characters suddenly become more interesting when they are depicted wearing unitards and capes.

There must be two versions of the theatrical release, because the tubes definitely bend in the version that I saw yesterday.

Humans are pretty much the most interesting things in the universe. In fact, humans are so fascinating to other humans that we'll even project human characteristics onto completely non-anthropomorphic objects like rocks and cars. No, the real question here is what sort of brain damage is responsible for fixating on Giger's biomechanical ****-bugs. :lol

They bent, saw the movie yesterday and read here about the through the floor issue, so was aware of the scene.

Ill be getting the new covenant Neo and Xeno. Not 100% accurate but worth the buy.

Not everybody is that obsessed with Humans though. I cant bring myself to be that interested in collecting the humans of the film, I have Ripley from Aliens but that is about it. The characters are nice in the film, but there is not much unique about them that makes me desire to have them in plastic form.

And now for something a little different.

Can you say.. Aliens inspired?

Video is pretty lengthy, skip ahead to see how it looks finished etc.

Not a bad option for a easy to do diorama.

I've got one. It's pretty good. I wanted to get 2 except I was hit by customs just getting one of them...and they're already pretty expensive so that was pretty off-putting.

One problem is most people won't have the space or an 'outty' corner in their room to wrap the diorama around as they have it in the pic above. From that POV it would have been better if the corner piece was orientated to make the corridor go the other way. As it is I just couldn't find a way to use the corner piece with the other two parts.

Not in my screening they didn’t. Like yourself it was something I was keeping an eye open for and the top pipes at least went through the floor. If anything the ladder section just seemed sped up? I can’t be sure on that but I wouldn’t have noticed them in the cinema if I wasn’t aware first.

Can you post a pic of your setup?

Interested if these will fit in a Detolf.

I didn't care much for the movie (except Walter, I liked him a lot), and the way the creatures acted irked me. Oddly enough I think I like the way the figures look more than the finalized movie versions.
