NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

Ok, just for fun and wishful thinking since I have no idea other Vasquez and I think Newt will be in a 2 pack here are my guesses for the wave.

1 Vasquez smartgunner
2 Drake sg
3 Frost
4 Alien warrior battle damaged - with removable blood splatter effects that can be placed in several places(attach to the ribs) or without.

I'm with you on #1-3 w/ #4 being some type of Xeno THOUGH I hold out hope that they might be able to pull off a Burke. Hell, even a cocooned version (via the infamous scene). Aliens Day exclusive out of left field(?) one can hope.

I still have a lot of the old Kenner Aliens, mostly the human figures, always wanted Hudson and Vasquez but never managed to get hold of them. I've kept the figures for sentimental reasons, like a previous poster said, Hicks and Drake were the best, I even have an O' Malley somewhere, I can't remember being disappointed with them but expectations were far lower back then, what NECA is achieving now is amazing, long may it continue.

Do you guys remember the Kenner Marine/alien 2 packs that KB toys released with the repaints? I got Hudson and O'Malley which I think at the time weren't previously released in the US (maybe Vazques too) in those 2 packs along with Vas, Drake and Hicks but I don't think they re-made Apone. I thought the repaints were the coolest thing ever way back when.

I do remember Atax. Probably my least favourite figure but I bought him anyway thanks mum

Alot of post here as well as other sites raise issues of quality, for the majority of my collection I am more than satisfied, there are though a few exceptions. To the point, I have had the same problem with the m134 from ultimate terminator as the original cyber-dyne figure. The barrels are deformed, thinner at the receiver with the frame for handles being warped.
One of my concerns with the Vasquez with smart gun ( more likely since the Kenner style Ripley will have a modified version), is the quality of the of the casting. I am hoping that the Smartgun doesnt suffer from the same issue of "casting flaws".

I never owned Atax but I remember seeing him in the catalogs, card backs and stores as a kid and thinking he was some kind of traitor for the Aliens or something.


Bishop was my favorite "human" character from that line. Loved the figure with it's removable arms and torso pieces and this superimposed card.

I remember getting the Queen, Scorpion Alien and Bishop from my grandmother when I was about seven or so. I thought that they were amazing, but my mother hated the sight of the things and promptly sold them off at the first opportunity.

There was and u believe he was the one that came with that cool deluxe Alien armour with the rocket launchers, kind of like a sneak attack soldier who'd go into the hive in disguise and then unleash hell.

I asked neca over on twitter of they'd do him in the Kenner run but I think Randy said it'd be highly unlikely. Guess the tooling cost for that mech alien suit would be too much.

I hope neca tackle the scorpion alien and the snake version too as they would look quite dynamic on the shelf. The Gorilla would be awesome but I'd hope they would make him a bigger sized figure as to look more imposing and more gorilla like in stature.
I don't think they'd do the queen facehugger or the alien king as they'd be to similar to moulds they've done in the past.

No, actually. The Scorpion Alien does resemble the basic warrior, but with the addition of various cosmetic spikes across its body.

John Malamas made an amazing custom version a year or two ago using the Pressure-Suit Engineer body as the base to I've the creature more bulk in comparison with a normal warrior. Maybe NECA could do something similar for a future Gorilla Alien.

Seeing the whole line like that makes me even more interested to see what Neca will pick and choose to put into their own line. Such a wide variety of Aliens to choose from and the marines all look unique and individual enough to make them worthy variants in a way.

The king alien would be amazing to see them take on but given how huge he'd be I doubt they'd attempt it really. Given his wings and the unique crown AND he'd have to be the same size as the Queen too.

You have heard of the NECA Kenner tributes? They are doing a Ripley Kenner tribute so I'm wondering if there is a chance of Apone as he was a figure in the original Kenner line, not sure what Al Matthews state of health has to do with it lol
