Their excuse for Newt being an exclusive is probably that kids and girl figures don't sell.

She shouldn't be hard to obtain. NECA's exclusives are always readily available.

That sums it up but you forget the Kenner Ripley. I thought we'd get more on Alien day but Newt looks great, I hope we can get her easily and Vas's chest looks incredible - lol. Oh and somewhat Neca related we got the loot crate Aliens box without seeing what's in it - we know something from Neca is in the crate though.

Yeah that's true. ToysRus has even had a few of NECA's sdcc exclusives in the past.

Loot Crate item could be the A3 queen chestburster or facehugger? Satisfies the criteria of fearsome without being a full-fledged figure. They did cut those out from the current creature pack.

Yeah, but the Kenner Ripley had already been revealed so there was no surprise there. This was hyped up to the day for super cool reveals and some surprises. What a joke. The pic of Vasquez does look good and I have no doubt that it will be a great figure but somebody over at NECA really dropped the ball planning this event.

I would speculate that NECA's contribution to the Loot Crate is one of their Scalers or one of the solar-powered Head Knockers. Probably the former. It's cheaper. At least they can't be offloading all of their unsold Prometheus figures on us, right?

I cant help but feel kind of disappointed too really. I guess I bought into the NECA hype with them stating that there would be reveals all day and that some of them would blow us out of the water. Guess they are saving those for SDCC now.

Really disappointed after yesterday, we already knew we were getting Newt and then we get hit with the exclusive bombshell, what an anti climax, hope there is a way for collectors outside of the States to get hold of her, otherwise it's a real kick in the teeth.
