Wave 9 will go against the norm, for a change the Xeno could well be a peg warmer whilst the humans fly off the shelves

Frost and Vasquez look great, can't wait to put them along side Hicks and Hudson.

NECA has delivered.

Wasn't the concept drone written with a smooth dome? I like the concept figures and the history behind them but this one will be a pass.

Frost looks great but Vaz and Newt will be the ones I need.

Completely agree no chance of the humans sitting on shelf long, when those are released grab while you can because those will hit secondary market ( not mentioning website) at 3 times the price. Speaking for myself if those XENO's are peg warmers ( reduced ) I'll buy an arm full, just too repaint and add to background.

I do have a slight concern about the marines ability to hold their weapons accurately. If Frost has the same hands as the Sgt Windrix figure then he's going to be awkward with that flamethrower.

It seems to be a common issue with NECA's human figures holding the big weapons. I noticed it recently with their Sarah Connor - great figure but the simple wrist peg means the way she can hold the rifle is kinda limited.

I also want to know if the eye piece on Vasquez's head gear is movable and articulated or glued to her eye?

Her eye piece appears to be floating and looks like I may pivot in this pic:

Pretty solid wave and Frost came out as great as I hoped he would. As for the drone I know some people were expecting something bigger I guess but I like the pinky white tones to it and that freakishly long tongue makes my skin crawl like an alien creature should be doing. I will order this entire wave for sure now and be happy with it.

It would be nice if this happens as maybe it will shake Neca and make them realise that humans can be popular in this line just as much as the Aliens are if they are given as much care and detail as shown with these two. Plus, having them bigger named characters helps too.

I think I want the marines, can someone show me a list of all the neca marines this far?

They made Hicks and Hudson so far as single figures without helmets and different heads and double pack figures each with their non-removable helmets and different heads as well as packed with an Xenomorph variant. And they Made a variant called Craig Windrix who was not in any movie or comic, it was made to honor him after his death.
Other than the Marines, Bishop and his torn in half variant and Ripley. That is all so far.

It looks terrible. What the hell?
We font need to have another repaint/freak xeno. We need to get Ash, Parker, Brett and Lambert.

Brand new figure and deco. Randy confirmed earlier

...the albino concept drone it's kinda lazy, since they just grabbed a regular Aliens warrior swapped out one tongue for another and changed the color scheme. A new sculpt and a smaller creature (considering the description in the script clearly says it's smaller than the warriors) would have been a lot better. But hey! I rather have an Alien that has some base on the movies themselves than some crazy Kenner tribute.

Randy says: "not the same at all, different body, different deco, not translucent and new appendage. all from original draft"

The only things that stood out on the new Warrior for me were the tongue appendage (obviously), the spikes on the knees, a new 'fifth spike' appendage below the back of the head, and the hands. Not sure about the feet yet. (It's still awful, though. :lol)

This is definitely a Warrior repaint. “Not the same at all” Sounds like he was responding to a concept big chap question.

That should have been the exclusive. Cool repaint with an interesting history but not a “Must Have” Not a figure like Newt that everyone wants! :cuckoo:

There is no change to the Alien other than the stupid tounge thing. And the obvious paint scheme.
Marines will definitely be more popular in this series for sure lol

Curious though, is Heath on Frost's armour short for Heather or a guys name Heath ?

Ricco Ross' girlfriend's name at the time in 1986 was "Heather", so Ross asked to have it on there. Bill Paxton did the same thing with his fiancee at the time "Louise".

Another thing I just learned was that the "illegal aliens" line used by Hudson was an inside gag referencing the fact that Goldstein, at her first audition, had assumed Aliens was actually a movie about illegal immigrants in the United States, and even dressed accordingly. :lol
