I love these things!

A couple of the facehuggers did have some problems like missing fingers and tails not completely attached but after the egg packs I’ve got a surplus of loose huggers to pick from.

Well NECA sent me a package today, I received the two replacement left and right coat arms that comes with Alien 3 Ripley. Both wrists move, even a little too loose for my tastes and they work with my Ripley figure.
Neca came through for me in this case. I did send a picture of the broken arm and hand and stuck wrist arm so just to be sure, include a clear picture when you contact NECA if you also need a replacement.

I didn't receive the missing Torch accessory. I could contact them again but I'm not sure if I want to push my luck.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more pictures of the Cinemachines Series 2.
I got my set today.
All of these come with display stands but I don't trust them, (they're like the display stand for the Derelict from Series 1) so I didn't open and use them for this quick review.

The Predator Scout ship (Predator 1) and the Narcissus are quite large and really nice. I may be a little biased towards Alien, but the Narcissus is the best of series 2. There's more detail and better paint than the Scout ship, and it's larger than the Predator Lost Tribe ship, (Predator 2) I'm also not a fan of the design of the Lost Tribe ship although the Tribe ship is very detailed and painted well. The Tribe ship is smaller and more inline with series 1, about the size of the Cheyenne. The top half of the Narcissus and Scout ships are diecast metal, the bottom of each are a soft but dense plastic. The Tribe ship is the opposite, the bottom rear half is diecast and the top and front of the Tribe ship is soft dense plastic.
I like them and since I'm a fan of both Alien and Predator movie series, I'm happy I got them.
I'd rate them based on their size, detail, paint, quality, and design:
  1. Space Jockey
  2. Derelict
  3. Narcissus
  4. Predator Scout ship
  5. Predator Lost Tribe ship
  6. APC
  7. Cheyenne
Although I might switch positions of the Lost Tribe ship and the APC. I like the design of the APC more but I don't feel the quality is there for the money, and the Tribe ship has a great paint job and lots of detail. The Cheyenne is just a disappointment in quality despite being my favorite design from any of the Alien and Predator movies. I really hope they go back and make a better improved version of the Cheyenne in a future series.

I'll repost this in the NECA Predator thread since Cinemachines series 2 crosses both licenses and Predator fans might miss this review in this thread.
I hope to also get all of Cinemachines Series 3 and I'll review that in the future.

I just got the Narcissus the other day and really like it but I past on the 2 pred ships. IMO the best looking ship so far is yet to be released Nostromo and I'm more of an Aliens fan over all the other films in terms of vehicles. Really like the weathered, dirty look on the shuttle, they could have just released a white shuttle but added the black dry brushing to give it the dirty used look like in the movie.

...looking good. Though I was expecting both Predator ships to be similar in size and the Narcissus smaller. Those stand are not to be trusted. The one that came with my Derelict broke due to the weight of the ship :/

Yes, the scales of both the wave 1 and 2 ships are wonky, they seem to be all over the place. I hope the Nostromo is big but it looks like the Sulaco is going to be smallish. Still glad we are getting them though.

image.jpeg Vasquez is a true accomplishment for Neca. She looks fantastic and just doesn't fall over, with smart gun or not. Frost looks great too, well not as accurate as could be. His sleeves were rolled up to mid forearm. Though instead of Frost, I would have preferred Gorman and Burke who are the remaining characters that survive the first initial attack by the Xenomorph. There is only two other characters Neca could reuse Sergant Windrix's body for. Apone and Crowe. We all know about Apone, but since Neca likes to repurpose as much as possible, maybe we'll see Crowe eventually. Dietrich and Ski had rolled up sleeves so they would be retools. Ferro on the other hand wears the same flight suit as Ripley from the first film, just the zippers were silver. They could give her her jacket and helmet. Spunkmeyer and Drake, new sculpts all together. Just the same, thrilled with what Neca has put out the past three years.

Here's to hoping any or dare I say all of those see the light of day eventually:). I think Apone will be difficult because of the actor being in seclusion basically and the actor that played Crowe died long ago but man do I hope they keep going with more figures from Aliens! Also really hoping Drake is up next though!

In the UK and still waiting

me too but not in the UK. Needless to say I will NEVER order a thing from Toy Wiz ever again. Pre orderd early and nothing from them....still says 'awaiting shipment' I may cancel and take a drive to TRU!

Just picked up and unpacked my facehugger replica prop. First impression is that I am relieved. I wouldn't go as far as "impressed", but I'm pretty surprised by how good it actually looks. It has way more dark wash/dry brushing on it than the prototype pictures. It's not garish, doesn't look horribly done, and brings out the sculpt a little better. The body is made of a softer, rubbery feeling, but rigid plastic, and the tail and legs are foam filled, but seem to be covered by the same fairly durable plastic. I was out this weekend perusing the pop-up Halloween stores in the area, and the overall impression is that it is the same sort of plastics/aesthetic as a lot of the "props" and decorations those places sell. Being that it is more of a niche item, I think the $65 BBTS is selling it for is on the better side of fair. It feels sturdy, I think it's a little bigger than it should be, and no one will mistake it for a real prop, but in the years I've been trying to figure out a way to get an affordable replica facehugger on EBay by way of kits I could do amateurishly or models built by professionals, ranging from $60-$400, I think this for $65 is a great alternative. Won't wow anybody, but its a solid piece and worth the money. Fingers don't move at all, tail is bendable. I'd give it 2/4 for sculpt/accuracy, and 3/4 for quality.

If NECA do not release a bigger scale dog alien or bambi burster alien I would be really shocked. Although Alien 3 is a polarising film, most fans would agree those two designs are killer in a larger scale to show off the detail and paint more.

If they ever did a huge scale Queen Facehugger I would buy two or three, no problem. When they showed that mini proto painted version I honestly hoped it would be large scale but now it looks to be to go with their Alien 3 creature pack. When ever that is getting released.

Curious, if they do do a Burke or Gorman, how would some of you want them packed ? Just as they appear in the later half of the film or come with a swap out head or maybe some additional accessories like a sentry gun or newly painted pulse rifles ?

I definitely want Burke in his gear as they arrived at Hadley's hope. As for Gorman - well let me dream a little here. I would like him as he appears when they land as well with removable coat, swap out arms and the alternate wrapped head for two looks in one. I know that most likely wont happen even if he ever does get released so I would want him in his full dress as he looks when he arrives on LV 426 with hat and his VP70 with holster.
