definitely! i have one before my eyes right now, and it looks like it with some differences mentioned above. i think i'll miss this, knowing its quality and having one in that scale already.

Matrix's skin is passable, but I know what you mean. The worst one in my opinion is the first First Blood Rambo they did - the one with the m-60 & bullets. They really botched the skin on that one, he's a pain to photograph -

It looks like the Spitter from Colonial Marines.

I think it more resembles the Kenner Alien Arachnid, but I'd flip if it was the A:CM Spitter, because that would be one step closer to Winter, O'Neil, the Weyland-Yutani PMCs and a whole lot of other stuff...

Ah, yeah possibly. The dome could include the side ridge things and smooth out the top. I'd prefer the spitter over a kenner one, frankly.

I meant the "arachnid" as my guess earlier, btw. Got the arachnid confused with the crab until I googled it to make sure. This is the one I was thinking

Now that you mention it that is true. Still, if they ever did an aquatic warrior drone it would be cool to see. An amphibious xeno is not something we have seen in toy form yet.

That Alien head could be from the new Defiance comic series. There was a conversation on their twitter that said it was definitely possible and in that thread the artist said his Defiance Alien design was a modified A:CM Spitter.

The sculpt is missing the hammerhead like protrusions that appear on the Spitter but it doesn’t look finished so could be easily added making it the first A:CM figure.



I can’t see them releasing two Kenner figures straight after a dedicated Kenner wave.

Can't stand it, personally. Just one more reason why every morning, I wake up hoping to hear that the Aliens license has finally been taken away from Dark Horse.

I wasn’t expecting much after the vs. Predator vs. Prometheus mess but I’m enjoying Defiance.

I liked the last Predator series with the Kenner Preds too and would love to see some of the Kenner Aliens make a return. Hell we have Dredd vs. the two right now so a Kenner Aliens vs. Predator with garish Predators facing off against a menagerie of aliens would be fine with me.
