Can't stand it, personally. Just one more reason why every morning, I wake up hoping to hear that the Aliens license has finally been taken away from Dark Horse.

iHaven't read or seen anything since the 90's with their 3rd iteration 'Earth War'. I hated the drawing style and coloring in that series (think it was only 4 issues). Yeah they did good with the AvP crossover but after that was done, so was I with DH.

So if I understand this right, Series 11 is Lambert, the 'Kool-aid' Alien (I'm sticking with that name), and a re-release of the standard warrior... with a new head. Worst selling series ever?

That's what I'm worried about too since we seem to be going to mixed waves with Alien/Aliens/Alien 3 movies going forward. I only want the Lambert and I'm sure she will be the peg warmer from the wave. Maybe the two Aliens will sell ok with the kids and completists but this is a weak wave IMO.

Yeah it's cool to get Lambert finally, but I still see the suited Dallas and Amanda figures on Toys R Us pegs and my comic shop has pegs full of them at reduced prices. As far as the Xenos go I'll get one of each, but I usually buy multiples of all the Xenos. I'd rather have more concept translucent Aliens than more blue Aliens, and I'd rather have more regular warrior Aliens than extra comic book-headed ones.

They maybe should have saved the blue Alien for a 2-pack or something.

Could end up being. Personally I welcome the break (only want Lambert) but I hope it isn't damaging to the line overall.

...Lambert might sell poorly, but I guess they're prepared for that. Also, there's a lot of retooling on her so not much investment on their part, and that gave us the chance of an extra alternate head. No way the creatures will peg warm. People said the same about both concept figures before and of course, they were wrong

Which again is a reminder of the Space Jockey and the probability that I'll have to skip it :banghead
I really wanted to complete the movie lines for A1-3.

Neca Nostromo Crew and Sideshow Space Jockey. Scale looks comparable. If this one is any indication, finding a place for Neca's version will be just as difficult. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I can see the blue drone either selling really well or peg warming like the space suit Amanda Ripley depending on which collectors in the areas react to the blue colour itself. Some may think it cool and scoop it up, while others may hate it as its too out there and leave it alone. Same could be said for their upcoming hot pink version from the AVP video game. Sometimes the funky colours work for some guys, others run for the hills.

I know for myself I will pick up one of each and thats it. I already picked up the pink / white albino drone and liked it a lot in hand along with Vaz. Yet to pick up Frost but he is peg warming already in my local comic shop so not much in a hurry to get him.

As for the rest of the wave I will pick up Lambert for sure but as others have stated she may have sold better if she was sculpted in her civilian clothes and not the space suit. Would of broken up the sameness of the line of spacesuit after suit with a lot of these characters, plus I think a few fans from the first film still want the crew in their normal clothes too.

Bishop 2 would be cool too, especially if they gave us a second head with the battle scars from when he is hit and the blood comes out, making everyone second guess if he is indeed human or a superior version of the Bishop model.
everyone?...
you mean such people not only exist, but there are plenty of them? o_O

...I think it was very clear after being hit in the head that he was indeed "very human"

Funny thing about Dillon in Alien 3. He makes the claim of being a murderer and rapist of women...and yet he ends up being the standout male ''hero'' of the movie. Were we not supposed to take him at his word?

Well, he did say that he and the other inmates "found religion" if that means anything. But, I think, in the end, he was just the best of the worst. In a prison, the bar for a "hero" is pretty low, so even a murderer/rapist can come across as a hero in a situation.

I personally like to think he was exaggerating his crimes and that he's more like an Alpha Male version of Morgan Freeman in the Shawshank Redemption.

I chalk up any perceived inconsistencies to the whole thing being a bad hypersleep dream Ripley had on the way back to Earth aboard the Sulaco. :)
