NECA ALIENS Warrior

They were cool at the time, but with a lot of loose articulation (or stuck joints!) issues.
I bought three back in the day; one broke and I gave the other one away (hopelessly loose joints).
I'll keep the last one, it's still a cool figure.
But, the NECA one should be much better in every aspect. Hopefully they won't have any QC issues.

sounds good. guess I'll be picking up a couple when they're released. I'm surprised that's still the only pic of it around. I could've sworn the AVP:R figs were shown alot earlier before their release dates last year

Not really. They sucked. Closed mouth, very loose...not great. NECA surpasses them entirely here.

Worst of all, the reuse of 70% ALIEN figure with new parts where the anatomical patterns didn't line up.

Just a poor hack job of a figure. I had one, but I had one of the super loose joint ones and with it looking so bad too, I just got rid of it. Looking forward to this NECA one.

Well....Stan Winston (God rest his soul) did the same thing. He really only changed the head, arms, and back. So...can't fault McF for doing the same...

But that head is awful. Makes a great Xenoborg though....heh...EU crap.

No no, not talking about using the same design, McFarlane kitbashed the figure and did a poor job. Like the mechanical parts on the calf part of the leg didn't match up at all to the thigh part, stuff like that. NECA's pretty much taking their ALIEN figure and just swapping out the head and changing up the arms, and I'm fine with that as long as the whole figure looks done right. McFarlane cut corners and it led to a sloppy product.

Indeed they did. But then again, that line wasnt a "new sculpt" line. It was a "Refresh" line. Kinda like the Reborn stuff they did with Spawn. The line was only done to boost up intrest for the AvP line they did. And it worked, and it also helped me find some missing figures.

i still would've liked a chopper in that line. they only made his blades... for all of them.
the main thing i liked about those was they were to scale with my marvel legends.

I think I remember your name from the Spawn boards. I'm quite aware of how much you love the AvP movies

But yeah, I don't think I was ever disappointed, as far as toys go, when I found out they weren't releasing a regular sized Chopper. That was around the time I got to those boards, but did they ever even get to a proto of him?

i didnt get any of those because they pissed me off. and i think it was on purpose, too.
i went through all the trouble of getting the whole 1st series and they go and pull that crap and make the whole 2nd one useless.
wait, i did get the queen because it's to scale with my ht snap-kit/microman figures.

I think it's b/c of being on this site I can now recognize the pole is wrong along with his bio color at least they had him right with not having a shoulder cannon. I never liked it before, but if I see one now, I might pick it up just to put on top of a shelf or something

I hated McF's AvP line... got rid of all of them. I've kept all the others, but the AvP line just didn't look good IMHO. Grid was the only one that looked interesting to me, unfortunately, it broke.
