I would imagine many people at NECA want to do 18" Predators, but, for the ones that get the final say, no matter how much their fandom might want to, if they see it as a poor business choice, it won't happen.

i remember tankman saying he wants to make it. but he doesn't call the shots. either way, i'm not getting my hopes up until NECA officially announces an 18" pred.

At least HE wants to make one, it's not like he doesn't talk to the big corporate executives or anything, so you shouldn't say "it's more likely they won't make either" :wink1:

so..not sure if we we will see one, I wanted to give my hand at a NECA style city hunter.....here is where I am at...a LONG way to go!!!

So, let me get this straight...

Neca predators series..

Series 3:
Elder Predator (? doesn't really fit with the "predators" line)

The beauty of the "Predators" tag is that there's no reason it shouldn't include figures from P1 / P2 as 'extended universe' figures - didn't the undamaged masked classic prototype include a P1 skull sash? It would probably make more sense to present the masked classic as the original Predator.

That would also open the door to doing the P2 that Tankman hinted at ages ago...

The masked classic that is coming out in october is the battle damage one from the end of the predators movie.

I'm guessing that it is epoxy putty. I've always wanted to use it but I haven't yet for some reason (dinosaur customizers use it A LOT).

If NECA doesn't make a P2 pred I might try that too encline!

tankman said he is (or will be) working on the P2 and i'd cite the image of the Elder proto with P2's gauntlet as proof that he's at least started. at the rate these figures are disappearing from retail, NECA would be kinda stupid to not make at least one version.

Sorry for the quality of the images but I could hardly blame them for the camera ... but here is my custom of Jungle predator:

I have been using fossil bones of rats and prehistoric rabbits for the necklaces, and the skulls are made with das

you should do casts of that head when it's done and make some lost clan preds with it.

Ohhh man...that is a good idea....the only problem would be finding the classics figs to work with!! haha..

What kind of material is that that your sculpting with or just added to it.

I am using AVES FIX-IT SCULPT... it is a two part epoxy that is pretty easy to work with. I am still learning how to use it and how to sculpt. I have a LONG way to go, but no better way than to just jump in and do it!

Dude....that is a cool idea...I am going to have pic some of those up!!

And a more retarded one. Say what you will about McF, but thier Halo line is the best mass market figure line at the moment. Perfect figures.
i ____ing hate to agree with this, but it's true. i don't give a flying ____ about Halo and it's so hard to pass those things up when i see them on the shelves. especially after watching the amazing Neil Blomkamp Halo ads with the miniature display battle scenes.

They are works of art. The Warthog is amazing. One of the coolest things in my collection. Wish it was painted a tad better...but oh well.
