haha i remember having to do the exacto-knife thing with a bunch of McFarlane figures back in the day. i wonder if NECA uses the same factory McF did. the QC problems and frequency are almost identical.

I hate to hear all the problems that happen and this stuff really makes us feel sick at times. The factories go through groups of workers and right when you have a really great group they move on and a new set comes in. What happens = problems and we're hoping and feeling the next series will not have any of this stuff. McFarlane and everybody goes through this stuff.

yeah, i can imagine that you guys hate the QC issues as much if not more than the customers do. but i can't think of any way around it that wouldn't triple the price. personally, i'd pay it just to have better representations of you and your colleagues' work. but the sculpts are still amazing and i'll buy them in spite of the factory flaws that you can't really do anything about. it's stuff like this that makes me wish you worked for Hot Toys. they can get away with jacking their prices up way easier than NECA can. i'd much rather pay $200 for a tankman Predator than HT's attempt.

Not necessarily, I had to use boiling water and they were still stuck together and I could see the peg bending on the elbows. I had to heat it up and then actually cut through the paint with an exacto knive as to not break the peg again.

When the paint in the joints gets hot and wet from the water they usually bend apart if you do it carefully. THe only time I have to use an xacto is when paint gets into the actual balljoint itself.

Great photo. They look brilliant together.

is Jason Frailey or Jon Wardell on here? they did a lot of work on these and it would be cool to hear their input too. tankman, order them to get accounts.

Not a huge update, but NECA posted a pic of the Pred Hound and how it will lay in its packaging...

yes, that's sad, i was looking forward for him having them.

It should be very easy to do it yourself at least. If we ever make a big one I think I'll try harder to get them on the figure fingers crossed. The Elder is missing two things also but the figure does look so very cool. The dreads came out ever better than I thought they would.

speaking of which, it's been a while since we've seen any update pics of the Elder. NECA should get on that.
