The Neca's theet are large (inner mouth)... but the proportions of HT's berserker all wrong.

I find the Neca Sculpt much better.
It is similar to the movie more.
Only the failure of the Armor and the thin body to interfere.

Pity that the painting is so bad.
This can not even begin to compete with Hot Toys.

19 "Deluxe better painted Neca Figures are awesome.

Annoying is also missing the straps on the arms and legs.
that's mostly annoying because they're on the prototype and not on the actual figure. but it's not a major problem since it doesn't require a resculpt or repaint to fix it.

There is no "failure" in the armor, unless you mean the place where it isn't attached to the right spot. The body doesn't seem to thin to me either, looks a lot like the suit that brian steele wore for the movie shooting.

I picked up all three figures from series 2 last night at TRU and the QC on this series was terrible. I got the only Classic BD Predator, the only one of the three Trackers that didn't have a broken tusk and one of the two unmasked Berserkers on the peg.

I opened the Tracker first and promptly snapped one of the arms at the elbow pin and I barely tried to move it. Several of the other joints were painted/stuck together.

Next I opened the Classic Predator and was very careful with it since it was the only one at the store. It also had multiple stuck joints; both hips and thigh swivel joints and one elbow joint. I boiled some water and dunked him for a few minutes. I had to pop both the legs off at the hip and thighs posts to be able to move them as they were stuck internally on the post.

The Berserker looked ok and all the joints seemed to move ok but it fell off the shelf last night and ended up with a broken knee post.

that's probably due to NECA basing the figures off of earlier production designs that were changed after the prototypes were already finished. happens every time a toy company gets early access to movie licenses. they were probably accurate at one point and details were changed after the fact.

I also believe this! Because all the smaller details are present in the sculpture... it is impossible that made macroscopic mistakes :wink1:

That's also why the falconer has no falcon; they hadn't finished the concept work and the digital one in the film was added a few months after sculpting these was done. NECA has hinted that there may be a falcon in the future, though...

Got a replacement for my Tracker.

I had to swap heads since the only one left at the store had a broken tusk. Also had stuck joint problems on this one; both elbows were painted stuck and both thigh swivels were stuck as well. Luckily, I was able to free them up with a lot of hot water and an exacto knife. I did have to pry off one of the legs at the thigh cut to get it to swivel.

Now to return the broken ones on Monday and see if I can find a Berserker replacement.

Geez there seems to be a lot of broken Trackers from Series 2. I'm worried as I can only buy this online due to no stores around here selling any. I just hope whoever I buy them from wraps them well.....:gah:

i think NECA only ships figures by the case to retailers. so it doesn't really matter how individual stores ship the figures to you if the they were already broken when they show up. it comes down to triage on behalf of the retailers and if they care whether or not you get a broken figure. the problem here is Toys R Us will probably only get one or two cases and that's it. so if every Tracker in the store has broken tusks, you're just SOL.

Is it not just a simple case of glueing the tusks back on?? I'm not too worried about that. Now if joints are arriving broken then I'll be pi$$ed off.

The tusks can be glued, but if they get lost or break off and fall into your carpet and you only realize it after you've vacuumed you're screwed... :D

The joints are easy to fix too. Just run them under hot water and they'll bend if they were stuck.

yes and no. yes, you can glue tusks back on, but it'll never be as strong as an unbroken one. because of the cheap hard plastic they're made from. if the tusks were made from the same soft plastic the dreads are, nobody would have to deal with broken tusks. not to mention, the Tracker is packaged facing forward, so the tusks are all but guaranteed to break during shipping. it's a manufacturing and packaging f^*k-up on NECA's behalf. or maybe it's a huge conspiracy to jack up super glue sales. i'm still looking into it.

Got my Tracker yesterday in local flea market!

But i found it's both arms joint are very tight, need the hair dryer to soften them.

And i had do some repaint on the bio-mask, shoulder cannon and some of the armors.

Not necessarily, I had to use boiling water and they were still stuck together and I could see the peg bending on the elbows. I had to heat it up and then actually cut through the paint with an exacto knive as to not break the peg again.

haha i remember having to do the exacto-knife thing with a bunch of McFarlane figures back in the day. i wonder if NECA uses the same factory McF did. the QC problems and frequency are almost identical.
