This actually turned out pretty good.

It did - I actually liked the paint on mine. From lacking any excitement for a 7" version of the masked P1 I ended up glad I got it. Unfortunately it broke at the elbow in my gentle investigation to see if the joint was stuck in the first place. You can't give these things the benefit of the doubt it seems, you really do have to heat them up before you try to do anything with them. Though I have doubts that would have helped my T-1000s.

And still waiting for P2 release :)

Join the crew.:impatient: :wink1:

I have yet to see this series in the store but the paint looks a big improvement. Hopefully it continues so that P2 is a half decent job atleast...

It's been a while since there've been any updates...so here ya go.

Shaman in packaging...

(paint work looks fantastic!)

Thanks for the Update.

Shaman looks very good and way better than the other Preds.
I hope City Hunter looks so good.
Bad, that Elder ist not so beautiful.

Are the Dreads shorter than the Prototyp ?

looks like the dreads are pushed back behind shaman's back, the length is hidden.

can't wait to see the goofy backstory they're gonna pull outta their ass for that one.

I'm with Lar'ja on this one. The paint improvement you guys are mentioning strikes me as a bit 'placebo-ish', but to each their own.
I will say this, though: while the body paint apps aren't too hot, the netting and armor look fantastic. Can't spot any flaws or slop.

Okay, glad you're out of the picture. Wont have to read anymore of your opinions. I personally think it looks good for a smaller figure. Its actually exactly what I expected. Looking at my collection now, I'm not bothered by any of the paint jobs on these figures.

I'm just confused as to why they didn't use a stencil on the head. It'd be so much easier, since we're only talking about a single color. I think that's what makes the paint apps on this one seem worse than on previous ones, at least for Lar'ja and I: there are two main colors on this figure and -- since they're roughly black and white -- they create the highest contrast possible, so it's more obvious to spot slop and such.

It's just the head and torso that bother me, especially since they could've used the aforementioned stencil for the head and the thighs look miles better than the torso.

I will say it again, however, the netting is stellar. That's been the toughest thing to get right and NECA finally nailed it, at least in this picture.

If they get their stuff together for the P2 (no silly and avoidable mistakes like on Shaman) and they keep painting the netting with this level of care, I'd easily be down for one.

Yeah everyone saying it looks good...wait til you get it in hand, this place will fill up with hate about paint, lol

Oh don't get all pissy.

The others looked nice in their packaging shot. This one doesn't. The head atleast.

The netting and armor actually look incredible compared to what we're used to getting from NECA, but that head is just atrocious.

Could just be the pic, idunno.. But from the pic, it looks like crap.
