There often seems to be one figure in a wave that they don't offer individually. It was Frost in the last Aliens wave.

Ah thanks.

Bugger it! Geez NECA - I really don't want that "Serpent Hunter" figure.

I may pass on all of them rather than pay $40 (CDN) for a figure I don't want.

.

Look like they haven't listed the AVP "Youngblood" for individual sale - they only have him as part of the 3-pack.

What's with that?

.

Usually the cases they get are 4x, 5x and 5x of the figures. For example, for series 16 Spiked Tail is the 4x per case, so they don't have him for individual sale. Youngblood is probably the 4x per case for series 17. For the Aliens series 9 wave, Frost was the 4x figure.

If you can order from toys r us website, they offer the individual figures for pre-order sometimes when it gets closer to release, and when they do come in-stock they have them available too. Just keep an eye on the site, sometimes the popular ones sell out fast, but more stock appears later.

Sounds like a plausible explanation - BUT - if people can buy the others individually, they could still end up with odd ones.

So not sure that makes sense :dunno

What other retailers are there besides BBTS that you folks would recommend? (I've been thinking of dropping BBTS anyways) - maybe others are selling the "Youngblood" individually.

.

Oh. I'm sure the shipping situation hasn't changed then.

They use the global shipping program...which I don't fully understand, it seems unnecessarily pricey.

They boast about ''no additional import charges on delivery''...great, but the item I'm buying ought to be well below the threshold where customs get added in my country anyway....so...what am I paying for here..

I think they take the 1x extra of the 2 5x figures from each case and those are the ones they allocate to the sale page for the individual figures. They then keep the rest of the stock (the 4x quantity of them) available for those that order from the set of 3 web page, so they have a 4x amount for all figures available for sets of 3 orders.

That way they have enough for all the individual sets of 3 they will sell, and can sell of as many of the excess 1x individuals as they can. So when a set is ordered, it doesn't affect the excess stock of the individual figures set aside for sale. And when an individual figure is ordered, they limit the quantity on that page that is available for order so it doesn't cut into the figures from the sets. They will probably still end up with excess of the extra figures, but less than they would if they sold the 4x per case one individually and couldn't sell them all in sets because they sold out of that one.

They could set aside a small amount of the 4x per case figure for individual order, but they would just end up with more of the other figures because they would have less complete sets they could sell.

As for other retailers, most of the ones that sell individually are overpriced, I would recommend maybe watching eBay, you might be able to find a local seller offering the figure for retail or slightly above retail price.

Comes with left and right gripping hands!!!

Got it - NOW I understand (I'm slow but I get there eventually - with help :) )

Thanks for the "other sources" info too - and to everyone who chimed in! :hi5:

Sounds like there will be a Dark Horse Comics wave coming. I’m a fan of the comics so looking forward to seeing what they go with.

“the whole series is comic inspired, Series 18 is a @DarkHorseComics themed wave”

Alright, think I'll order 2, maybe even 3 City Hunters to add to my older figure. There's a few set-ups I'd like to have. He'll probably be up on BBTS tomorrow.

I might need multiples of City Hunter and Jungle Hunter. JH comes with a separate mask that he can hold and if I can get him looking like he’s removing it that’s another one I need :lol

Yeah, I think they said in a tweet that retailers would get the solicit info on Friday for it.

In series 18, I'm think that one of the figures will probably be Broken Tusk (I'm pretty sure his proto was in that pic of all of the test shots NECA posted awhile back)

I doubt they would make it, but imagine how awesome it would be if they made a Machiko figure.

They’ve mentioned in the past she is possible and people have already started asking after her again on twitter. If it’s Aliens vs. Predator themed I would be surprised if she wasn’t included.
