Hey guys I've messaged NECA about the subpar AVP Elder 2.0 head and asked them if they can rework it. I think it would be great if others did this too

Yeah warming up neca joints first is usually a good idea...it seems to be the initial first bend that either makes or breaks a neca joint. That said the only neca figures to ever break on me have been pacific rim

Yes, but anymore I think that's true for any action figures. Plastic from China isn't what it used to be...

Nope, not really.

I haven't had to warm up anything other than Neca stuff before cracking the joints.

Just realised that with the new arm articulation we should be able to get the City Hunter to hold his rebreather mask over his face like he does in the film. So one of the new articulated figures will be getting that particular headsculpt and I'll use that older body for some other CH Pred that doesn't need so much range.

Only problem is there won't be bleeding gunshot wounds....

what the hell does that "global shipping" charge so much for? and why do more and more sellers choose it? it becomes troubling, as shipping is often 1-3 times of the item's price.

City Hunter and Jungle hunter looks gerat. Neca finally make a good paint job because their previous predators paint job was terrible (Predators, Predator 2). I hope it's a final product.

It's the proto at this stage. I'm afraid the final product will look exactly the same as old figure. I don't need the added articulation or the extra head, so I'm not all that excited about this.

Truth. Its becoming harder and harder to collect or even complete some lines because the shipping as becoming too expensive to justify the purchase of even one item these days. Its just not worth it.

eBay introduced the "Global Shipping" about 2 years back. It was added by default to EVERY eBay sellers account (US & UK anyways). Sellers have to go back in and REMOVE it manually.

Buyers hate it (a google search brings up all sorts of nasties) and (like many others) I refuse to buy from any seller that won't drop it and go back to regular shipping.

eBay introduced it because they get a kickback from Pitney Bowes (the intermediate carrier) - and guess who pays for the extra shipping charges + import duties along with eBay's kickback?
