Got David and the Deacon today, and I must say that, while very nice figures, they really don't wow me as much as the Engineers.

The Deacon's design is so-so IMHO, which is not NECA's fault, but the lack of articulation severely limits the fun factor on it... the limited articulation in the arms really sucks. This is one figure that would've benefited from being able to pose in "unnatural" ways. Maybe I just need to play with a little more.

David is a very fine figure, but it just fails to be really exciting in any way.

Oh well, I still enjoy them a lot, and the paint apps and QC are great, it's just that the Engineers were so much cooler.

My kids put Kenner aliens next to the engineers :D

^ THE BLUE ALIEN! That was my favorite toy!

However, as a kid...I saw a blue alien and I want to paint it black...

Which I did. And it was sticky.

My sons LOVE the blue version.
I dont know what the backstory is thiugh.
My kids pretend he can go invisible like a predator :)

I remember the Kenner line and used to have several of them. The scorpion alien, cougar alien, queen, and the alien from the predator 2-pack were my favorites. I don't recall the blue alien, was that an exclusive?

Selling resin bases based on the interior of the Juggernaught if anyone would like one or two?

Got my Deacon and 2 Davids from TRU.com yesterday. One David had some QC issues (smooshed nose on the alt head and defective assembly on the regular head). I was debating whether to return him or just use it since both heads are good on the other figure. Went to TRU.com this morning to check the return policy and noticed David is sold out. Hopefully that's a good sign. :)

Also, anybody know about this company? I don't build models but I'll build this one. https://fantastic-plastic.com/PrometheusCatalogPage.htm

fyi...randy falk (head of product development at neca) stated, on twitter, that we should know by late april if Prometheus series 3 is likely or not (they are watching sales for series 2 between now and then). so...cross your fingers and go purchase series 2 if you havent already.
(TRU.com has prometheus series 2 up to order on their website...15.99 each; series 1 and 2pack are still on sale).
