NECA ROCKY & Apollo Figures

I just want quality Rocky 2 figures, BD with belt ideally.

They said on twitter that there will be 16 figures in total, so that means they are re-releasing the all the old ones, and there are about 3 or 4 new figures. According to NECA, the Rocky 3 with the belt from the poster is a new figure.

Yeah Im looking at twitter as Im typing. Randy said Series 1 will be shown at Toy Fair. The rest will follow later.

Thinner PVC shorts will be used for better articulation for the legs.

As long they havent done any major updates to the old ones, then all I need are the newer figures.

Yeah, I'll be getting some of the older ones because I didn't get them initially, so I definitely want Apollo, Mr T, and Drago. They should make a new Rocky 1 figure because the first one didn't look like Stallone, but hopefully we get a leather jacket version and training version too.

Its good they re-release for those that missed out on them before. Agree, the face sculpt were weak for the rocky 1. If they update that, then I would get another one too.

A would bet that the Rocky II battle damage fig with belt is definitely going to be one of the new releases.

To those complaining on the face sculpts of the Rocky 1 what did you expect from such a small scale? That's way I would love to see Neca do some Rocky figs in 1/4, the detail would be awesome in that scale.

I know NECA typically stays away from cloth with these lines, but I find the leg articulation a bit limiting on the old figures, I'm all for better work there, and I'd love if they could paint the faces to look more intense like Rambo and not half asleep.

The poor headsculpt only applied to the rocky from the 1st series. The rocky's for the rest of the line were great.

Thats why I said they are using thinner pvc shorts to allow better leg movement.

Well you will get ppl that prefer the smaller 1/12 scale and others that like the 1/6 or 1/4 scale.

I will collect this smaller scale and still waiting for Hot Toys to revisit the Rocky line one day.

Yes they are releasing them all with new ones as many missed out on the previous release.

They will be packaged as the 40th anniversary or something like that.

They will not do anything from the creed films as they said they are only doing 1-4.

So basically apart from the toys r us twin pack, there were 11 figures in total previously. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Series 1 - 1st movie. 4 figures.
Series 2 - 4th movie. 4 figures.
Series 3 - 3rd movie. 3 figures.

So looks like they should at least complete the remaining 3rd series and fill the 2nd movie slot with new figures.

I wonder are they doing straight rerelease a with the others or add something new to them. I don't want to buy everything twice.

Had no idea they were gonna re-release these, but good news for me and yeah i too hope we'll see Rocky 2 made. It won't happen, but i would absolutely love a Rocky and Adrian 2-pack from Rocky 1.

Look at that. No sooner did someone post a hope for particular figures from the line than the toy company answers that very question and in doing so helps to build enthusiasm which will ultimately benefit sales. Good on NECA *shoots glare at Hot Toys*

True, still nice even if its just the one. Better than nothing. They are too busy with marvel, dc and star wars, it may or may not be done. Thats how it goes with 1/6. Rarely ever see a full or deep line.

Yeah thats true as well. Only good if its the line you are interested in though, cos theres too much tweets happening, and alot arent my cup of tea.

I heard HT dropped the license. Someone else has it now. I've reached out to Storm but they don't reply. Hopefully Blitzway but their output is slower than Pop Culture Shock.

Heard? from what source?
As far as Storm goes, they havent told me about obtaining the license for Rocky. They have told me a few things they are working on, but nothing Rocky related. They almost had the license for something that ACI and Star Ace shared though.

Though Blitzway are releasing a Rocky statue so perhaps they have it for that scale.

THAT...Is freaking awesome! I follow them on facebook, but obviously not seen any Rocky announcement there. Just hope the tailoring is better than Training Rocky. Did you have the Jakks figures? Their Apollo 1/100 which also was GW/Uncle Sam is the best figure they ever made. I had it before i sold it for 500$.

They never said it's cancelled. They never do, only exception was the Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal fans kept asking about so they had to say something eventually.
