You can't win with sequels.

If it's similar to the original - People hate it and complain that it's just more of the same, rehashed, etc.

Too far away from the original - People hate it and complain that it's too different, doesn't have continuity, etc.

That's why I watch ****. That's my excuse anyways. :wave

Its a bit loosely written but it claims characters from Scott's Alien will return too, well we knew Ripley was back but who else could they mean?

Terrible news. Another nostalgia crapfest incoming. :(

And Blomkamp is still in charge? Blegh... :monkey4

And Hudson didn't survive LV-426 but he could be returning too.

Hicks returning makes sense, especially if they ignore Alien 3 and 4. But if Hudson was to come back it would be a bit of a wtf moment, even as much as I'd want Hudson to return.

But...in Aliens did we actually see Hudson die or just get dragged away? I don't remember if Ripley sees him in the Queen's lair near the end. So there's the possibility they could say he survived and got off LV-426 somehow.

These franchises are old, but not obsolete. Yet Hollywood is killing them with crappy sequels and remakes.

No we don't see anything more than him being dragged off screen, he would we can presume be cocooned as a host. He wouldn't need to get off LV-426 to survive the explosion, just get far enough away and have life support equipment for when the atmosphere had dissipated. May be he survived a la Robinson Crusoe and the only Xeno left became his Man Friday? :lol
