That's the best damn Alien collectible I've ever seen. Your paint job is unmatched on this earth. Congrats!

I love hearing that. Confidence boosts like that are what encourage me to live up to tha level of praise and enable me to do it in the first place.

Thank you.

You lucky bugger, SS! You certainly deserve it.

I was going to get the 1/3 bust, but it was sold out before I got around to it.

Maybe they will do another run of these one day.

I'm not sure they'll make more of these since they are limited...!
But Sano will certainly make a 1/3 maquette or a 1/1 bust !

I don't think the world needs another 1:1 bust, but a 1/3 maquette is a must. Save me the trouble.:lol

I agree a 1/3 maquette is definitely a must !

But I don't mind a 1/1 bust from Sano either since I don'd find the 1/1 ALIEN HCG bust and the 1/1 ALIEN HCG head so appealing...!

It certainly would be a lot of work but I'm sure it would be a blast to paint...:monkey4:lol:wink1:

absolutly your opinion! a well done bust from japan would be cool! dont know why, but i dont like all the bust available very much. in most case the upper lips look a little bit strange. saw the original giger head in an exebition some month before and as it was a little bit poor polyester cast i guess, it looked so cool.. just painted compleatly black and white teeth.

Come to think of it, that might be the closest thing to working on the original heads, so it might be a blast at that, no matter how much work it is.

If you had to paint a 1/1 bust, would you go for a transparent dome or a cloudy one ? cause we hardly see the skull under the dome in the original ALIEN movie !Or you would you do it the same way as you did on your 1/5 kit which is just great?!
It must be very frustrating to paint so many details on the skull and not being able to perceive all of them because of a cloudy dome, but anyway that the way it should or supposed to be right? Can't quite catch the right picture.
Guess it doesn't really matter after all:lol
Most important thing is that it looks amazing!

By the way DP's work on his kit is good and he kind of made a great effect on the dome, don't you think ?

I'd probably go with what I did on mine, making it look foggy from certain angles, but translucent enough straight on to see the detail in it. It's all in the paint tricks.

It'd be nice if the dome was removeable and you received 3-4 with each order. That way you could go for the clear version, milky screen-accurate version, the partly foggy, etc etc...

That would be wonderful.

Thanks for that. Now I'm not going to be fully saitsfied with it no matter what way I paint it because it will never have the swapable option to allow me to paint it in every way. :(

:lol

If you cared enough, couldn't you sculpt a few domes yourself? I can't imagine it being nearly as hard to paint as the rest of the body... I'd do it. :lecture

No, it isn't that easy at all, and if you don't get the right kind, it will eventually turn piss yellow. I haven't done it, and I'll be very hesitant to do it for this.

if you are able to add purple pigments, it can neutralize the yellow --
