Sallah's boots....

They came muddy like that. Ready to go. After watching the movie, and going by Les' ref shot on the previous page, they definitely look black to me. Black but dusty.

They're on eBay called Playhouse GSG-9 boots. There are some up now but they're a bit pricey for boots. Better prices will probably come up at some point.

Hey guys,

Is there a concensus on which body to use? I've pulled together almost all the rest of his bits and pieces but haven't pulled the trigger on a body yet. :dunno

I was thinking about using a Pro, since I'd like him to match my RotLA Indy height-wise. But ...

A) I'm not sure where to get an extra Pro (I haven't really found many online, though I'm sure I'm looking in the wrong places) ...

and B) since this is my first bash, I fear I may be getting hooked ... so there's a chance I may want to find a better body for my Indy, thereby throwing off the height issue!

Any suggestions for the newb?

Thanks WG. I will keep an eye on these for the future.

Pros are cheap.

You're going to need hands, a short neck joint and feet too.

Stuffing.... I f'd up a bit. I sewed the sash onto the elongated shirt prior to tea dying the lighter fabric.... ah well. Gonna take the whole thing apart now... Waiting for a Rhett auction to finish... Gonna order Russ' head right now.

Rich did I ask you what dye you used, or where you got the dye for the sash? Maybe you responded I missed it.

I just made a burnt umber wash with half burnt umber acrylic and half water. I used a length of the material I sent you, brushed on a generous amount and let it dry then sprayed a sealer. I think I sent enough material for you to do both the lower skirt area and the sash, but really any light colored fabric will do.

Got my head coming! :rock

Congrats ordering the head. That sounds good about the dying. I might have some colors if not I will have to grab something at Michaels or something.

I'm going to pop that Yavin Luke head off the buck I'm using, tee it up in my back yard and take a 5 iron to it.

Either that or strip the paint and practice my own painting...
