Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Quite frankly posting on the facebook itself isn't an option. Messages can get lost on there easily.
E-mail. I got a reponse quickly, ever time I've e-mailed them. I'm still waiting on my replacement parts because they're still waiting on getting them in. Simple as that.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Did you guys just use the [email protected] email, or did you use any of the other ones listed on their website for the specific people (Mark, Tony, etc)?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I was the support one but if one isn't working then try all of them.

Actually that will probably just slow everything down. If they are having to chase down multiple emails from the same person regarding the same problem, that means less time chasing things as yet un-tackled.

Also, if you have already had a contact email with BCS on the subject in question, always use that same thread for ongoing conversation, do not start a new one...it will be easy to miss.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I work in a customer service-related field. When you receive a complaint, you don't go off and do a bunch of research or arrange stuff behind the scenes to fix their issue. You respond to the customer ASAP and let them know you will resolve their issue as soon as possible. I'm not saying BC has to respond to complaints within 20 minutes, but if any of those things you listed above are true, they need to hire someone who understands CS.

I love how criticism and discussion in regards to whether or not a company with an insanely popular franchise and only, what, two people doing most of the work (according to Big Chief) is a wise business decision is "whining." When they aren't responding to a person's issue of a missing part for over a month, I'd say some criticism is in order. Just because what they did was impressive - the whole small business, starting from scratch, yadda yadda enter inspirational story here - doesn't make me thrilled with what I'm reading about their CS (not just in this forum). But I made the choice to support them and buy the signed edition figure, and I'm just hoping it doesn't come back to bite me in the butt. When another user here tells me "you probably won't get a reply," what does that tell you about how some people view BC?

I agree, some criticism is in order, but I read about three pages worth of posts that were mostly by you.

As for 'yadda yadda enter inspirational story here - ', you're right, screw someone starting a business in a recession to sell something that fans have been clamouring for for years, I'd rather read about your own heroic journey, from purchasing a figure through Paypal, which guarantees your satisfaction or a full refund, to complaining incessantly when BC doesn't get back to you within a week.

The irony is that I agree that a red stain on a HS is a serious issue that needs to be rectified. I just feel that now we've smelt what's in your diaper we don't need to have you making mud pies with it all day. But if you haven't heard anything within 21 days from the day you first raised it here then I will be genuinely interested to know that, and I will be the first to encourage you to file a Paypal claim. I just think you will hear before then.

This is terrible advice! I tried replying to my previous contact only to eventually find out they had stopped checking that email. My advice would be to attempt to contact them twice by email and then take it straight to PayPal resolution. No one should have to chase customer service for any product, let alone a high-end one. Don't miss that 45 day window. You don't have to escalate a resolution to a true claim unless they ignore that too. In my case they took ANOTHER week to respond after I started the PayPal resolution case.

People who get ignored by customer service for weeks or longer wear diapers? Geez....talk about an out of proportion response...

Your suggestion that any customer service department should be given 21 days to reply to emails is ridiculous! I'm sorry, I'm pulling for these guys too, but you're doing Big Chief no favors by attacking their customers.

Lets be fair here. Bc needs to be better at customer service but I'm happy with te figure and the projected range. I hope the future releases are as good and lots of big companies are terrible at customer service and has a crap product as well. I mean all sorts of companies not just toys!!

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

This is becoming quite humorous now.
There is an implication that CS issues are so vast in numbers that the BC guys are swamped. This I find hard to believe.
On this forum, there have been 4 issues. 2 missing cubes, and one figure with red dye and the same figure having a wierd arm. Granted, I'm more than aware that a lot more people get the figures than read forums.
there are a lot of forum members here, so only one real issue out of all the dudes here !! I do not think that BC are overwhelmed with CS.
More likely with packing and sending the product.
I went to get my DX12 Bats (it happened arrived tho) on Saturday only to find the shop overrun by packaging tape, parcels, etc. this is a large shop, but in the scheme of things, a small supplier, and they were seriously busy, and probably would be for another week judging by the packaging material. This was due to a hot toys and medicom shipment.
BC are at present, I hope, swamped with making sure their packages are being shipped to all the individuals and outlets that have placed orders.

Not to mention overseeing Amy's production.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Exactamundo ... Things to do, figures to make.. Hopefully.
I hope they haven't thrown in the towel.
In the mean time my 11 is enjoying the company of the lovely Martha (a very well made CO 1:6).

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I'm rolling with the Glasgow confidence here then.

That is not terrible advice. If you send several different emails regarding the same thing, you not only rob time from investigation of other legitimate queries, and you will also come off as a bit of a pest.

Ignore the bold and underlined section of the above post. Maintaining the same channel of communication is always going to be better, as you can always refer to specific parts of the past conversation...not quite so easy if said conversation is spread over several different trails of emails.

WOW! Just two attempts at communication and straight to a PAYPAL dispute? And you're saying that my advice is bad?

If my advice was bad then that must make yours seriously :cuckoo: :slap

I e-mailed BCS this morning using the above address and I got a response within an hour. I'm wondering if some of the people who aren't getting a reply are using email addresses that get flagged as spam? :dunno
