That is not terrible advice. If you send several different emails regarding the same thing, you not only rob time from investigation of other legitimate queries, and you will also come off as a bit of a pest.

Ignore the bold and underlined section of the above post. Maintaining the same channel of communication is always going to be better, as you can always refer to specific parts of the past conversation...not quite so easy if said conversation is spread over several different trails of emails.

WOW! Just two attempts at communication and straight to a PAYPAL dispute? And you're saying that my advice is bad?

I emailed them more than twice, but I wouldn't bother next time. I know these guys are not in a rush to respond. I know they are careless with what email accounts they use and then suddenly not use. No one should have to chase customer service after paying hundreds of dollars. And I don't think they're being robbed of any time when they're simply not responding to multiple attempts. Anyone who has a problem should try them twice, then go to PayPal, and expect to wait a week or more for BC to respond to even THAT.

21 days is just crazy, especially when one has a 45 day window from the day they paid until the day one's rights expire. If it takes 2 weeks for the figure to arrive in the first place, 21+14= 35, which would mean BC only has 10 days left to make any problems right! Given them taking 7 days to reply once you go to PayPal, that would give them 3 days to fix a problem, which is impossible.

I think most people are spoiled be SSC's customer service. Hot Toys is very poor [can take months] but with BC I, personally, haven't had problems getting a response. Still. :dunno

I actually agree, but when I hear crazy talk like, give customer service 21 days to respond..... I mean that's amazing talk! :cuckoo:

Picked up a doctor figure earlier this month and received it missing the handkerchief and letter. Contacted BC with no word back (almost a month now). Contacted BBTS and had replacement parts shipped to me the next day.

Same with any company. You prolly sent an email with traceable order information. If you buy from any second hand company you have to go through them for CS. If you had bought a SSC figure from BBTS and wrote SSC about a CS issue I am sure you would have received no help either.

Glad BBTS was able to help you though.

I'll take that bet with the sure knowledge that IF they had replied they would have asked for his order number and when they discovered it wasn't a direct purchase, they would have told him he would have to work with the retailer he purchased it through. End result: exactly the same.

Why would anyone contact a the manufacturer (unless you purchased directly from them)? If I buy milk gone sour at the store I go back to the store to complain. I don't call the dairy and get angry when noone give a rat's *** about my sour milk. It's just common sense folks. :dunno

Totally agree. I mean, would the two people who are complaining ad nauseum go into work or go to see their friends in a bar and just keep retstating the same thing over and over again? Then why do it on the internet?

I think I'm going to PM them right now and complain about their complaining then invoice them for my time if I have to keep reading their incessant spam whining in this thread. I'll let everyone here know if they don't respond immediately to my complaint (the full text of which is 'hey - SHUT UP!').

The only spamming in this thread are the two posters who keep bashing customers, claiming they should expect to wait 21 days for a reply, and are wearing diapers. I can only assume you 2 guys are actually dating Big Chief!

As far as I was/am concerned my issue was dropped and resolved a long time ago, but you keep attacking anyone who posts in this thread with an issue. As I said, you're not doing Big Chief any favors.

I'll give them credit for what they do right, and call them on it when they do something wrong. What you're doing is just sycophantic.

True. But still Sideshow has over 100 employees. BC has what? 4 guys? Any delays, miscommunications or whatever I think can be easily summed up by the fact that they are a company still in it's infancy. These aren't emergency goods. Patience and tact are free and far more satisfying as a consumer.

You can purchase the letter from Toy Anxiety if you wanted to.

Above and beyond the customer service issues, it would be nice if the company who started out as the BEST communicators in the 1/6 industry did give us a heads up that, although unbelievably busy, they are still in business and are still going to bring us the fantastic products that they have already previewed.

To paraphrase a famous soccer crowd chant: "We call upon Big Chief to give us a wave!" :wave

His point was to buy from TA if he was in a hurry to get the pieces and was tired of waiting for a response. It was cool of him to at least try to help him out.

That's a good point. First contact with any product issue should be the place you purchased the item.
When I had an issue with a broken ankle on my HT Batman Begins figure, I could have got angry and sent HT emails, or, I could have thought, hey this is broken, I'll take it back to the shop. I did, and they dealt with it and I had a replacement figure inside a week. No hassle.
