Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Yeah, and I'm sorry about the accident of birth plus upbringing that has led to this unfortunate belief, but that's just my view. Britain is more my country than yours because you've chosen to say you have two nationalities, whereas I have one. You will no doubt feel differently, and that's okay. But please, try and express yourself with a little more dignity. Maybe your rage is a symptom of your cultural confusion?

I'm not attacking you on a message board as you say, i'm just trying to talk through these issues with you, which seem to be a cause of distress.

I didn't choose anything. Now, this is the end of it.

Great, another boring day of pissing contests, how very uninteresting...

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Is The Doctor up for order yet?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Could you just give it a rest.

I agree.

I hope they make a Christmas special Expansion pack, I love that Willy Wonka look they've got going on witht he top hat.

Me too. Far too many people with their heads up somwhere dark for me to be bothered about them any more...too many overly sensitive egos.

I personally have not really enjoyed the Chrimbo specials too much, and I felt that this lastest 'season half' of WHO has been especially weak. Great genre stars like Ben Browder have been wasted in empty roles and the whole thing destroyed by (even for WHO) silly plot elements...the Statue of Liberty as a Weeping Angel, WTF?

Seriously, I am only watching it because of Matt Smith, I think he is brilliant as the Doctor, but The (much vaunted) Moff has really outstayed his welcome very quickly.

Speaking of Merlin (which I think has also been going downhill lately, but I haven't seen any episodes from the newest season), I'd love a Merlin and Morgana figure. Doubt it'll ever happen though.

Perhaps splitting this thread up into its correct categories would help....

Doctor Who seems to to be the only category on this site that uses one thread to discuss EVERYTHING.

Per Hot Toys and Enterbay, shouldnt there be one thread per figure?

....and a thread in the TV section for purely TV show discussion?

According to some people there should even be a thread for BC's customer service.

Can't please everyone.

Nope, no sign of Tom Baker yet, and with Big Chief saying they have nothing new to tell us, I'd guess it's going to be a while.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

The past season was easily the best m smith season IMO.

I thought it was quite dull. Only half of the eps were good.

Unlike series 6. I hated, apart from the Gaiman ep, more or less every episode.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

The whole Moff era has been very patchy - I loved the Eleventh Hour, The Lodger and the Big Bang from Season 5, the Gaiman episode from Season 6 and Asylum of the Daleks, The Power of Three and Angels in Manhattan from Season 7, plus last year's Christmas special - plus I like Matt Smith's portrayal even in weak episodes - but that's, what, 8 episodes out of 28? And most people hate The Lodger. Not good enough.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I think The Lodger is unfairly maligned, it's a fun story. I agree with the Moff era being patchy. When it's good though (Amy's Choice, Vincent and the Doctor, Pandorica Opens/Big Bang, Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, The Girl Who Waited, Angels Take Manhattan) it's really good.

Exactly the same on my list except for Asylum.
It was a lovely episode but it was more the principal of it. Daleks, being Daleks, would never need an asylum.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Eleventh Hour was the 11th Doctors finest hour IMO .
Smith is likable as the Doctor, but David was a hard act to follow. Moff hasn't helped by allowing childish stories to dominate the show. At one point I thought the Sarah Jane adventures were better than the Who adventures.

I'm probably not the best person to critique the last few seasons of Doctor Who. I think I'm blinded by the awkward sexiness of Matt Smith. I know everyone goes starkers over David, but there's just something I love about Smith. He's got great physical humor.

Do most people really hate The Lodger? I thought Craig was great. Really glad when they brought him back for another episode.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I think each season of NewWho has been better than the last one.
The only thing I thought has been really weak was the finale episodes of season 4. I thought they were awful.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Oh. I think the opposite.
2005, with Chris was amazing (my most watched Who season).
The 3 David seasons were OK, each had some really outstanding episodes, but no outstanding seasons as a whole. The specials were all good.
Matt has provided a couple of very good episodes, but terrible seasons.

The two parter consisting of Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone was great. As were The Girl Who Waited, Vampires of Venice, The God Complex, and Vincent and The Doctor. I pretty much liked every episode except The Beast Below.
