Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!
They'd be 2 actors that could help convince me the lead character could be worth watching again....there are others but they're the first ones that sprang to mind.
As things stand though Nu-Who is essentially dead to me and I don't see a time when that will change....for me Doctor Who's continuity ended with the 7th incarnation walking off into the distance with Ace at the end of "Survival".
My big concern for this line is that too many Who fans are conditioned by CO's pricepoints and will automatically turn their noses up at anything that costs more even though the difference in quality is plain to see for anyone who doesn't view things through CO tinted spectacles.
From what I've been reading around the fansites some collectors would rather pay £35-£40 for endless sets of repaints/retools of the same few Dalek molds than save a bit and own a mini masterpiece such as Big Chief's figure of Matt Smith.
£150 is not cheap, but since when was anything of real quality?
The irony of US based collectors moaning about prices is not lost on me as they usually have it far better than most, but act like the hardest done by on the rare occasions that they don't
"Sean Pertwee or Bill Nighy" ..really??? I agree the next Doc should be older but definitely none of those two.
