Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Steven Moffat has tweeted that he has a figure of Matt Smith wearing a fez and with a mop accessory so unless he's talking BS it seems an awesome variant is on the way.

I finally got the first Amy Pond figure this morning and it's nice although some repainting is required to the head to show the likeness at it's best.

The TARDIS in the set with the Police Amy figure has no electronics.........I think I'll wait for the inevitable single card release of Police Amy 'cos I don't want a TARDIS that doesn't have the lights & FX.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

The Regenrating angel is the more damaged and broken looking version, it actually has legs and a shorter dress whereas the screaming is a scarier variant of the original angel but with the 'ready to kill' look. Both these versions have the same head sculpt but i think the regenerating version looks a ton cooler and the detail is outstanding!

Shoddy picture taken from my phone.

Thanks for the pic. Seems the one on the left is the Regenerating one and has two head variants: Screaming and placid. The one on the right looks like the Regenerated version, again with screaming and placid heads. The Regenerated one looks just like the Projected variant.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Crappy paint job on the Doc and I suspect the Cyberman's head is fixed in an open position.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Big pass on that whole wave for me. CO make Hasbro and Mattel look like rank amateurs when it comes to recycling figures.

I expect it's just a typically crap CO proto image and the final Fez Doc will look OK.

You're likely dead right on the Cyberman..........there'll probably be another variant that opens & closes in a couple of months :)

It's easy to be cynical about all the rereleases but if some of the profits from such waves go towards new Classic molds it's not really a bad thing in the long run.

Speaking of Classic releases I'm wondering when the Peri & Sil set is going to ship as the original date was December 7th.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Some folks at GB have reported receiving dispatch noticed for Peri/Sil. However Entertainment Earth have it listed for them as due in January.. so how knows? :dunno

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Recived my Pertwee sonic screwdriver in the post at 6:45 this morning, after a late dispatch by FP i didnt mind however the sound features dont seem to be working!
Just when i didnt want to spend anymore money this month on figures they release a fez doctor, i cant hesitate in getting this as i love the fez!

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Just got a dispatch e-mail from FPI confirming that Peri & Sil have been shipped :yess::yess::yess:

I can't believe I'm so excited for something from Colin's era although I think it's more to do with the fact that it signifies the start of what will hopefully be several sets with Classic companions.

EDIT
Apparently the Pandorica Cyberman has a removable head and will have the tentacles...........???

Sil looks great, i think i might have to convince myself i really want to spend more money on Who before the year is out. Hopefully next year is going to be a great year for classic companions and other collectables.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Thats awesome B. I can't wait to see pics. ;)

Both figures of Colin ( Classic wave 1 & 11 Doctor box set versions ) are on standby! :)

I might even end up getting the Realtime one for a bit of variety if it's still available at the original price.

£35 is extravagant for basically one figure, il wait untill it pops up on ebay as i have grabbed a few nice items from there lately.
