An otherwise uneventful Sunday was livened up by the visit of a parcel van,

For the first Classic female companion Peri is damn good and it bodes very well should the ones I want most ( Leela & Ace ) be made.

The likenesses on the Nu-Who females are hit & miss but they're 1 for 1 on Classic ones

Sil is nicely detailed but it's a shame his arms aren't articulated as he waved them around a lot in "Vengeance on Varos" but he wasn't the main reason I bought the set so it's no big deal.

His water tank is a nice extra and aside from the seat bit being made of that bendy plastic is a good, solid piece, the clear plastic "water" has some bubbles sculpted into it and looks about as good as can be expected and all the control panels are well painted.

The funniest paint app is on his seat.........there's these slimy stains which make it look like he pissed himself

I'm not sure if this was brought up in this thread or any other thread about Doctor Who,but did any one catch the Graham Norton Christmas Special with Matt Smith? They showed what appears to be Doctor Who mini busts from Gentle Giant of The Doctor and Amy Pond.

I think they looked good. Images were posted today on GB of a Simm Master and Captain Jack. The Jack looked good, but the I wasn't impressed by Simms.

In any case I can't see myself collecting these unless they did all the classic Doctors as well.

Over xmas i got a fair few Who goodies including the resin cyber controller bust which is pretty awesome and the bubble-bath dalek which is also really good as a huge but cool standalone model. The fez doctor sculpt seems a little weak and not at all like smith but it has a bow-tie and a fez so once i see it in TRU il grab it.

Not stateside, but Europeside.

I've ordered the Pandorica wave on the 16th of december and I'm still waiting for my shipping quote. They say "it's in progress and will dispatch soon".

I ordered a hot toys Joker from FPI once and never recieved my order, it took me a few weeks to sort a refund out and get a decent reply so since that failure i wont use them.

On the flipside of things I once ended up with an extra "Pyramids of Mars" 4th Doctor from FPI as they sent me 2 intead of the 1 I ordered so I eventually ended up with 3 as I'd already ordered another from the other FP

I put one in my display, gave one to a friend and used the extra to make a "Planet of Evil" 4th Doctor

I posted pics of Peri & Sil a page or so back and I refuse to order the "Resurrection" set on principle................that principle being I won't buy a Davros that's not the Michael Wisher version from "Genesis of the Daleks".

I got a message from FPI today saying that Police Amy is now available to order as a single carded figure

One of the next Classic figure releases will be,

Sontaran Field Major Styre & his pod from "The Sontaran Experiment"

A pic ( which I didn't see ) briefly appeared on GB last night before being taken down.

Apparently the pod has an opening door and a base to rest it on and Styre has his gun.

I expect they'll do a "Time Warrior" set with Linx in it as well to get more use from the pod mold although Linx himself will need new parts tooling.

Proper Sontarans at last!
