Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Got my Adipose figures today with bonus 10th Doctor figure. Sadly he has been decapitated as I search for a loose Time Crash 10th Doctor that no one wants. Also I picked up the SDCC 9th Doctor. I actually like the line detail they added to the jumper. Now Im just waiting on my 4 and 6 to come from eBay. I think though that I will be getting MANY more Adipose with 10th Doctor packs as I want a lot of the little fellas (probably invading my TARDIS playset which I will finally get soon). Not sure if I want the rest of the classics from this wave as Im not all that familiar with most of the Classic series (yet) and I already have my 5th Doctor. I have been kicking around the idea of doing a press molding of the celery though and adding a custom celery to Five. Soo yea.. anyone got a Time Crash 10 they don't want? :lol

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Are the Adipose being sold as packs or are they packaged with other figures?

Anyone seen a plush one yet?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

As we have listed on www.drwhofigures.co.uk the Adipose is so far only packaged with the Doctor (there are 5 Adipose).

The plush one is due to come out in September.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I'll trade you my TC 10 for an ex. Aragorn. :monkey3

:lol If that wasn't such a rape in price differences I may just have gone for it. All I really wanna do is rip the head off TC 10 and put the head with glasses on him. Swap-able heads would have made that figure much more appealing and that's what I plan on doing. If I have to buy a second set so be it - I'll just remove the celery from 5 and glue it onto the one from the Classics range.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I am buying 2 of every Doc so I can make Regen Version... I just gotta figure out how to make Six's clothes look too big with a Seven head. :dunno

And how do you plan on doing 7 to 8, hmm? :rotfl It's actually not a bad idea. Im curious to see how the attachment for 4 was done.. but I need to check Logopolis again to see if that is, indeed, the outfit he was wearing. I want my Regen figures to be as accurate as possible, but it wouldn't surprise me if after we get through all the Doctors we see official Regen versions. Btw Marc, can you alter the title of the thread or would we need Shell or someone? I think "Character's Doctor Who figures" would be a better title at this point.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

7 to 8 will be no problem.. they were both shorties and these figs will reflect that.. (for the promo pics they made McGann stand on a crate so he would look taller :lol)... no 8 to 9... that may prove a bit more difficult.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Uhh.. are you forgetting that 7 was shot and died on an OR table, then was placed naked into a fridge unit? When he regenerated into 8, 8 was naked! :lol Orr do you just plan to ignore that? :lol

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

An accurate regeneration version of the 5th Doctor would need a 4th Doctor in the burgundy costume he wore in his final season as a base so here's hoping Character Options make one.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Amen. I am doing my part to make sure we see a season 18 Tom. :duff

But at least the Wave 1 Tom serious face will be perfect for 3 to 4. :D

Me too,in addition to ordering 1 of each wave I've decided I'm going to get 2 or 3 extras of selected creatures and if the "Genesis" Dalek from the 3-pack gets a single carded release I intend to get 5-10.
And this is from someone who's not really into army building lol!

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I am NOT an amry builder either but I have 5 Nu-Daleks and 5 Nu-Cybermen... You can bet if they release single carded Genesis Daleks I will get 5 of those as well.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

This is going to sound stupid but I like the packaging on the newer figures better than the older figures. The cardboard encased in plastic is 100% better than just the cardboard alone in my opinion.

I'd like it more if it was easier to get into. In addition I think the Classic figures should have had this logo,

I can see why Character Options used the Nu-Who logo though as kids are more likely to recognise it.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I love the new packages. An exacto knife and they are easy to get into as well as collector friendly. :lecture

Because I've been drinking...

btw, the new packaging is teh suck

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Nu-Who series 4 has well & truly landed in the UK as most of the first wave is now in stock in Tesco and Woolworths.
I picked up both Ood and the 10th Doctor with Adipose (anybody want another 10th Doctor?) this morning so I just need some Sontarans and I'm done for the series and can start army building Sea Devils and Zygons.
