Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

So securely that if you get it wrong, you won't be able to pull the thing apart again, apparently.

Actually, the K1 Robot is surprisingly wonderful. I wasn't really that fussed about it, but it looks great once fuly assembled.

Sounds good to me,I was slightly concerned that the quality might not be as good with it not being fully assembled in the factory.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

So is the 12" Davros, 1/6 scale or does he fit on top of the 12" Daleks which are more 1/5 scale?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

From what I have heard he is in scale with the 12 inch figs.... But it could be that he (mississtant) didn't quite understand what was meant.

If that's true he'll be out of scale with all the Daleks CO has ever produced - but I can hope...

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

My 4th Doctor arrived this morning ( Thanks DSD! ) and before it started raining I took a quick pic and also one of the 5th Doctor from the Time Crash set,

( The thing he's holding in his left hand is a custom bag of jelly babies. )

Both figures are of the highest quality possible given the scale and there's nothing I can fault with either of them. 10/10 all the way!!!
Character Options have stepped up the quality several notches for the Classics and I hope they get rewarded with big sales as it would be a crime if this line didn't get to grow in the same way the Nu-Who one has.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Nice pics bcm. I agree they are the best in the scale.... I would like to see more poseability in regions like the shoulders and hands (especially on EVERY David Tennant fig).

Glad you like the pictures,I decided to try something a bit different from just taking shots of the figures on my shelves and apart from the 5th Doctor looking a bit blurred I was pleased with them.
Regarding the articulation I'd be OK with it as long as they didn't start adding articulation just for the sake of it as I think too many exposed joints ruins the visual appeal of a figure.
It's OK on 1/6 figures as the clothing usually hides the joints but some of the smaller scaled super articulated figures on the market look downright ugly and I'd hate it if the Doctor Who figures went the same way.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

True. I would just like the doctor to look more natural at the Tardis controls and I think a bit more artic in the shoulders would help out.

I also think ball jointed necks could be a nice improvement but if the articulation stays as it is I'll not be complaining.
Whilst the 4th Doctor was by far my most anticipated figure I'm still really looking forward to the rest of the wave which I should have by the end of the month.

Here is a leaked pic of the Tenth Planet Cyberman and a few Dalek variations:

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Can't wait to finally get my 4 and 6. I have to agree though, these figures NEED shoulder articulation very badly. Also.. anyone hear anything to the effect that the Sarah Jane line was done?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I haven't heard anything... I am only interested in the Sarah with graask figure from that line anyway.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

The 10th Planet Cyberman is looking good and the Daleks aren't bad either.
Is the one with the different head the Special Weapons version?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Sure is. I hope it gets to see the light of day.

Thanks for the confirmation,I wasn't sure as I've not yet seen the episode in which it appeared and I took a guess as I knew a Special Weapons Dalek had been rumored.
