Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Well I just snagged a second Time Crash set from WhoNA, Im waiting for my Series 4 order to ship from Forbidden Planet, my 6th Doctor showed today without my 4th (order mix up and I got 5 instead of 4, 4 is being posted today or tomorrow) so I'm getting fairly caught up. So anyone care to guess what's going to become of my second Time Crash set? :devil

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Of course - I want 10 to have his glasses on from the end of Time Crash so I will be swapping heads from the Doctor/Adipose figure and the celery will be going to my Classic 5, but will not be glued. I want it to be removable. Mayhaps a tiny magnet..

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Here's a couple more pics of the 4th Doctor, this time with the other headsculpt,

The serious sculpt looks a LOT better in person and I'm starting to like it as much as the grinning one. I predict a future wave will see a rerelease with the hat switched to the other sculpt and if it does I'll be getting 2.

Have the classic figs shown up on WhoNA at all? I know Time Crash has, but what about the others? I was able to pick up Davison and Baker at their booth at Gen Con, but I'm still looking for a Colin.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Nice pics bcm. I am still waiting to hear from bigbadtoystore on when I can expect to receive my classic wave 1 case. :tap

and a big public THANK YOU for the Colin Baker. I really enjoy it. :duff

They have but only as a case and they were snatched up so quickly that they may as well have not sold them as far as I'm concerned. :(

Even the classic daleks were up and gone in about 90 seconds.

No problem,glad I could help :)
I'm also getting a bit impatient for the rest of my Classics to arrive from Play.com & Forbidden Planet, especially as FP have had them in their stores for a couple of weeks now. I really want to complete the K1 Robot!

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Yeah. Having the shoulders I am a) impressed at how big the Robot must be and b) excited to get all these darn figs and assemble it.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I wish my Tom would come from the dealer I bought it from (mix up got me 5 instead of 4) and I have my S4 coming from Forbidden Planet, but am waiting for my Tom and Colin from them as well.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I have to tell you all that I was least excited about Colin, but having him in hand now he is my favorite fig.

Considering the potential for errors with the different patterns on his attire he turned out damn well and I wouldn't rate any of the first Classic Doctors less than 9/10.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I did notice that they have Colin's size relative to the other figures wrong. But I am OK with this since I can use the head on the Peter body and it will be correct and I can use the Sylvester head on the Colin body, which will also be correct. :D

Supposedly they're all to scale (and remember Colin wasn't rotund at first).

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I know they were to start off with. Its not the lack of flab on Colin its the height. he is too short. Mississtant (who sculpted him) I believe even acknowledged that somehow height was lost in production.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Well Colin is the same height (at least from my viewing angle, shelf above my computer) at Chris but Peter towers over them all.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I agree about the scale and that's probably the only thing preventing me giving the figures a perfect score.
But after the giant Jon Pertwee and Davros with two arms that Dapol released I think minor scaling issues aren't really any cause for concern.
