Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

But, will they have.... pants?

Or in the case of the 5th Doctor will it have celery?

I'm glad the figures of 1 & 5 from the box set will be different as that's 2 less figures that I'll have to resell.

7th Doctor and Imperial Dalek ships in 11 days :banana

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I just received my EoT figs from WhoNA. They are great. I am not sure what all the grumbling about the Master was because I think he looks great. The weathering on both him and the Doctor look great!

Can't wait for Mike's Comics to get 7 and Dalek... Can't wait for WhoNA to put 7 and TARDIS up for order... Heck I can't wait for everything that is happening. :lol

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Something beautiful and on sale now at FP for a May release. (Thanks WhoNA for the pic)

Not an SDCC exclusive then... hmmm... the season 18 Doctor and TARDIS are seeming more and more likely now... I hope...

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

The word going round was that hatted version of Hartnell is part of the 11 Docs boxed set too (which I found odd). If true, what will they do, change the color on his scarf for it?

It also means the Troughton figure with hat may be released individually beforehand (and the other new figs from it) if they are trying to maximize profit.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Reminds me of the Tom Baker action set with the mummy. When they release him he may come with an accessory.

I hope that with all this newly found excitement towards Doctor Who that they come out with more 1/6 stuff now

I'd bet anything that every figure from that set will be released beforehand...except for the 8th Doctor figure that you will only be able to buy in that set.

The only way I think that can happen is if CO lease out the 1:6 license. Not sure that is likely though. :(

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I just ordered the Hartnell which is set to ship at the same time as the McCoy/TARDIS set.

If it turns out that this figure is also in the 11 Doctor set I can just resell that one along with Doctors 6,9,10 & 11.

As for new 1:6 figures CO said they won't be doing any more months ago due to poor sales to their target demographic ( kids ).

They could let someone else have the license but none of the high end 1:6 companies would touch it due to the show's lack of popularity in Asia.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Cause I've had a few friends ask me about the Troughton hat, here's pics from POWER OF THE DALEKS & THE HIGHLANDERS of him wearing it. Troughton loved the hat but the producer hated it so it mysteriously "got lost" en-route to a location shoot never to be seen again. (laugh)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I like the hat. There have been a few detractors but I thoiught it was a good look and really set him apart from Hartnell. It was daring.

ON another note: WhoNA expects to have their stock of McCoy and Daleks in at the end of next week. :)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I like the hat too, has a ton of character. It's a pity they didn't keep it.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I think the hat looks a bit comical but from what I've seen of Pat he was more than capable of making it work as he could switch from the whimsical galactic hobo to the serious man of action without any drop in performance quality.

At any rate I think it will make an intresting variant 2nd Doctor figure though I hope this doesn't lessen the chances of a further variant with his fur coat being released somewhere down the line.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I take it this new TARDIS is similar to the Flight Controls TARDIS released awhile ago?.

The roof is flatter and the color is different but that's about all. Whether the FX will be any different to the Nu-Who version is not yet known.

Wrong acutally. It is a completely new sculpt. I also will not have an interior insert nor interior light. The beacon will light up and it will have the same sounds pretty much.

I stand corrected! :D

I actually had one of these pics a few months ago but I was asked not to share it, but the cat has been let out of the bag now (and not by me) so I guess it's ok.
