Now that really sucks I'm sorry to hear..

I have seen them open, but still I'm not sure if it's resin, polystone or some other mixture that they are made of.

Yeah it was a bit of a bummer. I meant to say it was the HCG version, it is repairable but I think I will have to re-paint it as the chrome is a gonner.

There may be metal elements in it somewhere but it is definitely not made of metal. Maybe they class the chrome as metal

Chrome plating, is the process of adding metal substance to the surface..
It doesn't mean that whole skull is made of metal, in that case, it would weigh a whole lot more.
And as I said, I've seen the broken skull, it's not metal!

Thanks for the heads-up Toni, it is still available but I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment and I have the T-600 bust to pay for and also the Vader bust and 1/2 scale IM I think I need to remove it from my sig until I have more cash

Yeah, unfortunately, chrome job sometimes (rarely) flaws. And SideShow can sometimes be too uncaring with their Quality Control, so it happens.

Problem in this situation is, if that bubble bursts, chrome will start peeling and it'll cause unrepairable damage to the statue.

Chrome work should be perfectly applied, and skull will always have that "metal" look.

Chris, no problem, just wanted to let you know in the case you're looking for it, and overlooked that thread!

Just returned from hospital. Nice bust, I like the new base, the theme playing is ok, but really not necessary, as for the LEDs they are ok, but also not necessary. I'll pass on it for sure.
