This is pretty impressive.
Would be tempted to pick this up...
Any news on your go at this, Sideshow?
Some people just can't seem to hold back tue hate..
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if retailers are just ordering less stock, as previous Medicom releases tended to just sit there and take up inventory space until the eventual discount.
I would be surprised, however, if demand was high for these considering they are pretty much variants of their past Jango and Boba.
Time will tell I suppose.
Wait, I though Jango came with a different jetpack than usual?
You're correct. But the rest looks identical to me.
Yeah. The jumpsuit on the new Jango seems too purple, too.
I wish Medicom had given the new Fetts the same extenders they gave the Troopers... I don't know why they'd want to keep their bodies smaller than all the other companies out there....
Problem is, the extenders give the poor guys T-Rex syndrome. They need to go back to the drawing board and really have at the RAH body.
I agree. I think the problem is that Medicom bodies are based on some skinny dude somewhere in Asia, as opposed to the ideal 6-foot tall muscular caucasian most other bodies are based upon.
I know that must sound horribly racist, but the point is we do need most characters to be taller and less ridiculously skinny.
The Wii, as you know, seems to come from Asia. I had a friend who was trying out "Wii-Fit" or whatever, and he wasn't really fat at all, or even chubby. However, he said that after entering his height, and weighing himself on the wii-fit pad thingy, the Wii-Fit game said he was obese, and promptly changed his little avatar character into a ridiculously fat caricature of himself.
I think people in Asia have different standards of human anatomy than people in Europe and the Americas, which could be the source of Medicom's body problem.

Boba's essentially a repaint, but a needed one. Jango, on the other hand, just has a new coverall which is probably why he's the lesser ordered of the two.

Depends. SS is soldout as well. Did they order less? Boba is uber popular, Jango while popular not so much. Plus The buzz for the weathered Boba has been high since first pics released. (also the 135$ price don't hurt)
While BBTS.com has pre soldout a few times now, gotten more up for preorder and then sold out again. I guess we will see. I know both alterego and cornorstore both had Boba in stock when first in hand pics came out. And then after people kept asking where to get it for 135$ it sold out at BOTH places a few days later.
I wouldn't be surprised either way.
How can you distinguish between BBTS putting more up for order or people just canceling?
Actually, there's a few things that are very different regarding Boba Fett. The rifle, guantlets and belt are completely new and different. The sidearm pistol has been removed. Plus, the ankle spats are a new design, and look MUCH closer to the screen used suit. It's not a 'wow' kind of difference, but to us bigtime Fett geeks, it's night and day.
I agree. And stripping the figures to use a Hot Toys body doesn't look quite right, either. The costumes/uniforms are made for THAT body, to the point that they look borderline ridiculous on any other 'true' 1/6 body. A bit frustrating, to be sure.
