Well, I bought the Extended Editions Blu Rays tonight. Barnes & Noble was having a 40% off sale, so I got the collection for $71.

Watching FOTR now, and I have to say, the picture is mesmerizing! I actually prefer the new coloring to the old.

good deal, but i am waiting for the hobbit to get released first. It's almost guaranteed they will have a super final really-we-mean-it ultimate edition including the hobbit and all 3 other movies.

Same here! I don't have the patience enough to wait until 2014 to own these movies on Blu Ray. LOL, sorry I'll just give Warner Bros. more money in a few years.

My very first Lord of the Rings statue arrived today! Gandalf the Grey EX #378/400. I do have to say, I was a little worried because I bought him over the PF, but he is very impressive! I am happy!

Thanks for the info Bill. I think that is too high. The last EX that just ended in auction a few days ago, only went for like $245, so their starting price is much more.

Tonight's email has the ES for the Boromir and Gimli reg. 1000 each. Seems high to me

That's probably as high as I would suggest going for any character.

Both Gimli and Boromir EXs are pretty essential for both pieces. Otherwise I would wait and try to pick up the REG of each down the line.
