Changing production run numbers is a terrible precedent to set as a business. A lot of the value of these items is because of the "tulips" mentality. When people have to question your limits, they question your entire product. It's way better to stick to the original 50 creating the illusion of a product that must be bought early or missed out on that to be the company who adds to their totals willy nilly.
Taking a deposit and then increasing the edition size is really poor form. Lame and weak.
it's a tough situation for everybody but when you think about it this is the best way. you should be happy that a company like ARH cares that much for their loyal customers to stick their neck out like this to satisfy them.
raising the edition size slightly does nothing to you. sure it's not as exactly as advertised but it's not like they changed the price or anything. I will be more upset if this is delayed for a month or 2 passed the release date.
if you look at an earlier post Alex said that as a compromise ARH will not be producing another variation of Medusa. this version is the most exclusive to date with an edition size of 70. the original green version was at over 500 pieces so be happy that you got this one.
I think everyone gets confused since we have so many variations
It is within the right of each producer to produce the total number first allocated. For example you do not see Sideshow say there are 500 of a certain statue and then not make the full 500!
So when we said we make 500 Medusas total we can in fact make 500.
We did bring the medusa back of two reasons.
First to offer it to those who missed buying one due to its high costs
Second, to pump some much needed cash into the machine that requires investment to make more statues such as this
There is no hidden agenda, no bait and catch technique, no foul play here.
I'm telling you this because you are one of the people who has noticed our work, a person who values us as a company and who will come back to buy more of our products. To come back and make another run of the Medusa at first was not my idea but we want those who never bought anything from us to give us a try.
Yes there are those who care about ES much more, but really how is anyone going to go buy one like this once they are sold out?
It's not a retail product sold anywhere else! Just this fact should weigh heavily on your mind if you doubt our decisions.
Someone said for the right price anything can be had, yes true you will be lucky to find one under $1k in a few month if that!
People were telling us that the Medusa was too high of a price, not a license product, that it could be bought for less down the road. Two years mater we proved all that wrong with a production of 245 SS and retail
Medusa greens! Think with me, will 70 uniquly painted Medusas do worse?
Now we are making 70 Rattle! Let me say it again 70!!!
Please tell me what do you think will happen?
We proved people wrong before, I'm %100 confident this statue will do the same.
Boy your all in or a surprise when this big Medusa arrives home to you!
I wish all of the guys worried about the extra 20, would just relax! I know we will come back here and laugh. Especially when you put her up and your wife/gf or significant other says OMG, that's cool!
I ordered one and paid a deposit. It pisses me off that I paid a 50% deposit in good faith based on the statue having the stated edition size.
Sideshow did the same thing with the Optimus Prime Ex.
As someone with an existing and paid order I think "**** you", whereas I can appreciate that 20 people or 50 or whatever are saying "thank you" the principle of the whole thing is not honest. It makes a statement about the morals of a company and their attitude towards customers and that can be perceived positively sure but for me it's a big negative. There was plenty of time to order this and people sometimes miss out and should suck it up.
Just make sure shipping cost doesn't exceed $100 and I will be happy.

To me, you have to give a small company some slack. They have one homerun statue and including this version there are still very few made. I get that they need some money to keep the wheels turning. SS has made 3 versions of the Hulk commiquette with the only diff being color. That's a cash grab for a big company. Hulk sells and they know it. Same with the Medusa and ARH.

Just under 100 and I still think it is awesome small es iam just happy to get her and Hope some others can be to, and no never to sell, Even though my wife found out i may have it unpack when she isn't home :-(
i ve been looking for medusa like for 3 months before this variant annnounce. almost got scam by some web shop during that time . i am more than happy that arh produce this variant and at last i will look Medusa in person and what is all the fuss about this statue.
regarding ES i dont mind alex increase medusa ES to another 20 but i will hold what alex said that he wont produce a pink medusa. =p. or another what ever variant ssc do at the moment.
and yes as a company that selling product an initial announcement/ statement regarding price , quantity or quality should be honored. well i have a good faith that alex's intention is good and next time they will make their announcement accurate and fixed.
And here I was being a good guy and offering more, and guys thinking we are the evil company!
