Love that his pose is actually different from the p2 maquette. He is clearly in motion in this pose.. Walking and scanning the area. I absolutely LOVE IT! Unmasked portrait will be the icing on the cake.. But I don't need it. This is EXACTLY what I want.

I'm not in love with it; the bio-mask likeness is quite off. Pose not very predator either. The unmasked portrait will make or break it I think

looks alright, no lens of course ;p I'm not exactly enamored by the detail shots as we aren't going to get that. just some silver paint over a black coat and it'll be thick as hell too. just like the p2....

Not sure if unmasked portrait will match this pose. Liking the overall details.

Not sure if unmasked portrait will match this pose . . .

I was about to go "wait . . . wut ?!?!?!?" . . . but then I thought for a bit and I now understand what you are thinking.

Would need to be "closed-mandible" to make it work better, and FORTUNATELY the pics originally shared show that IS the case.

They probably also wanted to do that to provide another obvious difference between THIS and the original Sideshow P1 Winston maquette.

.

This looks really cool... I never got a 1/6 Predator and I think I might be going with this one, as P1 and Wolf are my favorites. How much do the Predator maquette's usually run for, $1200?

This is 1/4 (ish) not 1/6.

The P2 was $1200 - this will likely be a little more expensive.

Someone way smarter than me commented "it might be just glued on which means it would be an easy fix on the production run".

It WOULD likely be glued on over the netting rather than sculpted as part of the leg mould.

They would have to adjust whatever keying they have put in place between the leg and back of the armour. May also have to re-sculpt the leg armour completely though - the profile would change.

Makes sense, just looked up the pics again. It is the closed mandible portrait.

Hell f'n yes :yess:

I didn't know about this and as much as I love the original one, I just never really really love it due to the awkward lean. This is about as perfect as it can get for me and if I only had one item I can buy for the rest of my life, I'm looking at it:D

I think the pose is perfect for a Predator walking cautiously through a wooded area.

looks nice, I like it much better than the P2. Won't be trading in my OG maquette, but I like that this one has enough differences. I already know the factory is going to botch the weathering on this. Just look at the masked P1 LSB

Has any one seen this in person at San Diego Comic Con? I seen a couple of picks but couldnt really see the base but over all it looks pretty awesome.

Wow. The details. I'm really looking forward to see the full reveal of this piece and I gotta say this again: SS, please don't screw up this one by making it EX or FAIL piece like 1/5 maquette. That one has bloody skull and UNMASKED portrait as EX. It made me p$$ enough to mod my NECA masked ver. into full diorama!
