IDGAF mine will be sporting his mask unless they fix that thing but that isn't happening. No way any artist or non can't see it's not right.

People are just getting the new NECA 7" "Ultimate Jungle Hunter" in-hand and are posting pics.
It's looking really nice!
Awesome unmasked / closed-mandibled head, nice body heft, armour in correct spots, everything the same scale . . .
So that question pops up again . . . how come NECA can produce this sort of quality on a $25 action figure yet Sideshow mess-up their $1250 (50 x dearer) 1:4 maquette (*shakes head *)

Quality and accuracy are 2 different things. I don't think there's anything about the Maquette that lacks quality, but the accuracy on the NECA figure is far better for sure.
Who knows man. Maybe Sideshow decided to give their artists a bit of freedom and intentionally add their own stylised interpretation to some characters. Personally I don't mind it so long as it still looks like the intended character, but I can see why others would be bothered by it.
It's still an impressive piece to me and I'd have it over the NECA figure any day, personally.

Prime 1's partnership with CoolProps and the promise of Predators from all phases of the franchise has really put the brakes on me running out to get this. I know Prime 1's future jungle hunter is in the far future but I'm really leaning towards waiting things out.

I have to say, I feel the same about this piece. I was already on the fence before the Prime 1 announcement and now I'm even more hesitant to order. I wouldn't even be considering it at all except that it's a P1 and I can never have enough P1. I'll wait for in-hand pics though.
Not only P1 but XM also with Narin on board. I'm letting this one go. Like you I will check out in hand pics but it's a pass for me.

I want this purely to create this setup. Accurate or not, this display will look awesome IMO, something I've been wanting to recreate since I first bought Dutch, and I won't be able to do it with any other piece.

Ah yes, I'm planning to pick up the XM/Narin one too. There's too much competition now to be settling for mediocre pieces. We'll see how this looks in hand, but I'm not holding my breath.
That would make a nice display. I hope they do a good job on the production piece for those looking forward to it.
