That's my point, if it was never wait list then everybody will get charged to cancel it. Mostly talking about the people that were not sure and jumped on or jumped on because of the sold out status.

It's not awful (even though your name is SPIDEY!) as that's pretty much how I am with Hot Toys. My aim is to keep it to one representation of each character. These things cost quite a bit, so if you've got what you believe is the perfect Spidey representation, then huzzah! But yeah, it's also good to talk it over and figure it out from there. In the end, if you do get it just to decide in-hand which is better, I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out then and not end up losing money in the process!
Well this is one of the best Spidey statues I have ever seen and it may be THE best. So I have some decisions to make.
My wife is my partner in all things so I don't make $600 purchases (with the exchange rate and shipping it is pretty close to that for me) with out at least talking to her about it. It is a respect thing we have going.

Reading some Facebook posts are blowing my mind. People cancel and post ridiculous reasons why when their waitlist converts quickly. One started complaining about delays and that they are waiting for XM to release Spiderman too. Why the hell do they even jump on the waitlist if they are not serious about purchasing? Makes no sense. I don't mind critics of SSC, I am one sometimes too, but don't chew them out when your waitlist converts and talk badly about them afterwards.

I agree. It's because they thought they were missing out on a short edition run. Then when they found out it was a glitch with the system or Sideshow conspiracy (yeah right) and could order it, cancelled. And they say Sideshow plays games. Facebook isn't the only place with people like that. This place is crawling with 'em anymore. Sideshow needs to offer ADD/ADHD prescriptions with every purchase.

It's cool that your wife shows that much interest in the collection. For me it's all my decision because she really doesn't care very much what's on my shelves. I used to discuss collectibles purchases with her, but now I buy what I want and she doesn't question it, out of respect for me and my decisions. Whatever works though, definitely gotta keep each other happy as much as possible.

It's pricey and all, but is it insane to just get both? Maybe there's reasons why you can't...but I mean, if you LOVE the Com, then you KNOW you love the Com by this point. This one will very likely turn out to be incredible as well...no way to love them both?
Loving them both and affording them both are 2 separate issues. I have the COM as well, but $$$ and space force me to have to choose one of them for my collection. In the end, I just can't part with the COM so I'm passing on this PF. I'm sure Shawn is in a similar boat and has to choose one of them.

Lots of people value the number, no matter what they say. There are a few collectors that can see past an extra (usually worthless) bit of polystone and enjoy the statue for what it is, but a ton of people buy for the rarity. That and a lot of them could be flippers.
I'm not sure why they should complain though, the EX will still sell out and still make some decent coin if that's your thing. It's Spiderman after all, and a pretty good one at that.
I remember last month on a local board some guy was trying to trade a White Black Widow for an XM Magneto. He must of really thought his purchase was that good!
Yup, I was gonna buy this too and realized why I bought my JSC version from the beginning. I would regret selling my JSC to get this one because it's just different and I love that about it. Edition size or rarity be damned, if your going for one representation don't let ES and rarity cloud your judgement. Get what makes you happy. It's the only way to collect IMO.

Magneto has been selling for $4000.00 now.
You'd be lucky to break even on that White Black Widow.
A few people were trying to move those on here and were barely asking for more than retail and still couldn't move them.
I wouldn't even trade the Magneto Coin for that Widow.
