The Sosa Spidey is Ok. I don't like the raised eyes much and his upper thighs and legs are too shredded. That's just his style though.

The Sideshow is perfect IMO.

To me the Sosa looks overextended and I agree with you on the legs. I like the SS one a lot, I thought the hand-plant vault was a cool idea and a little different from what's been done previously. Sculpt looks good too and I don't mind the base as is.

Nobody should be shocked by this ES whatsoever. This is Marvel's equivalent of Batman and Superman, and both of those were at these same numbers. Incredibly happy I ordered this one! It's definitely going to be an eye-catcher when you walk into a room!

True, but Superman and Batman had their ES on their first PFs. This is SS's THIRD Spidey in 1/4 in the same exact costume and it still supports theses numbers. I can see why some would still be shocked by this ES.

But their previous Spider-Man statues didn't have the numbers Batman and Superman had on their first PFs...this is the first time Spidey has had these numbers, and that's assuming that the regular edition will be 5000 -- which should be expected. It's also one of their most dynamic/ambitious statues to date, and just like Superman/Batman, this will sell out even at those numbers. And I believe the last two were both comiquettes and not this size (figure wise) but I may be wrong there.

When it comes to other characters, sure, an edition size of this number could be seen as shocking, but Batman/Spidey/Superman should pretty much all be seen as equals in terms of worldwide popularity. The black suit variant will have a smaller ES, just like the Modern Age Batman does.

In the end, as long as it looks as amazing as the prototype then that's all that matters!

The original COM is definitely 1/4 scale. As a matter of fact, it's slightly larger than 1/4 scale. The 2nd COM (JSC) is 1/5. If you put the JSC COM next to the original COM, it looks like a toy. The original COM is massive. This new PFs scale should be pretty much exactly 1/4 scale.

Thanks for the info! I had a feeling one was bigger than I thought! Sometimes pictures don't due these things justice when it comes to size, and that's where videos help. It'll be great to see this one at SDCC -- in video form, at least!

Happy to help. The 1st COM is similar to the Bats PF. Both of them are bigger than 1/4 scale. I LOVE both pieces but if you put ANY smallish 1/4 pieces around them, they get completely swallowed up by just how massive both those pieces are. Only the big boys can party with those 2. :lol

That's what she said.

Not really suprised by the ES, nor do I think it is offputting or unjustified. That said, as much as I adore this piece, I am holding out for the Black variant. Dont want to drop 1k on two of these, though I like them enough to.

With the reg and then variants. It will probably adds up to 10k

I would guess more. You think the black variant will only have 2500 total? I think they revealed it early to show it won't be one of these small secret variants they are doing. Instead, it'll be full feature release.

Also, the more I look at the "take aim" head the more I like it. I think it looks like he is mid wink, which is awesome!
