I still don't know why this needs to be on a black octagonal base instead of the explosion just being the base, but I think it looks good.

Base looks even worse.

Spidey looks pretty awesome imo but completely agree, they didn't do it any favors turning the paint dial all the way up on the variant version.

I wasn't exactly sure about Spidey until I saw these pics. Im in for red and blue now. that pose is beast.

Are they going to release surprises as the days go by? I thought they said there was gonna be way more surprises with Marvel and DC than this.

Agree completely. Already pre-ordered red and blue, but I had my doubts about the base. Now I'm totally sold - this thing looks amazing.

I liked the base and like it even more now. In the pictures it looks like they gave the smoke a textur effect
